Restored in 2002, this 1973 Mercury Cougar XR-7 runs great and turns heads. Rebuilt 351 Cleveland with Edelbrock aluminum manifolds and Holley 4bbl 650 double pumper carb. 3 speed FMX automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes and all new suspension. Factory A/C does not work but all components are there. New automatic convertible top and new interior. Only tachometer and speedometer gauges work. The dash is also a cover.
Originally purchased in St. Louis and was also restored here. Always garage kept since the restoration. Some surface rust on undercarriage due to the climate. No body filler or body rust! Starts right up and is ready to cruise. Driven less than 500 miles since restoration!
This is a solid #3 car. Original bumpers look really nice but they do have some pitting. Besides (1) driver's door "ding", the body is flawless, (paint is not compromised on door). The interior is beautiful and most was replaced. Original door panels. New carpet. New rear panels. Seats re-upholstered. Email with any questions or further information.
