I bought this car in 1991. Engine rebuilt in 1992 by Precision Engine Rebuilders.
It was my only car and was driven daily through 1994 (about 45K miles). Then it became my second car driven just weekends, etc. Decided to fix it up in 2006. Stripped down to bare metal, primed and painted (PPG Omni), replaced body seals, etc. Virtually everything listed below has been replaced within the last 5 years. Now, it pretty much only gets driven around the neighborhood, to the golf course/driving range, and to the bank. Probably only about 5,000 miles in last five years.
I am selling it now because I want to change to off-roading. Need a good Jeep.

Original 2bbl heads, FMX transmission, A/C compressor, manuals, and other spare parts go with it.
What she still needs:
• Dash plastic needs paint
• Cracked base to console (simple fiberglss repair needed)
• Bumpers need re-chromed.
• Clear coat has minor imperfections.
• Interior rear panels and front seat backs probably should be replaced.
• Inspection sticker is expired. Low vacuum at idle with this cam makes brakes feel soft. Have not bothered with inspection.
• A/C worked but I would upgrade with aftermarket.
• Minor vibration around 60 mph.
It's a fun to drive, head turner. Everywhere you go, someone will be asking or commenting to you about that "good looking car".

NHTSA and Ford investigating steering issues in Crown Vic, Grand Marquis and Marauder
Fri, 11 Jul 2014There may be more steering woes for the Ford Crown Victoria. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened a preliminary evaluation into the Crown Vic and Mercury Grand Marquis from the 2004 to 2007 model years and the Mercury Marauder for the 2004 and 2005 model years because the steering shaft can jam. The issue could potentially affect an estimated 500,000 vehicles.
According to the regulator, there is a possibility that the driver's side heat shield for the exhaust manifold can rust, dislodge, and then wedge into the steering shaft. If this occurs, it leads to a situation where the driver can no longer control the car.
NHTSA has received five complaints of this happening, including one alleged case with an injury. In that situation, the car was driving onto the highway, lost control and rolled over. One occupant was hurt in the accident.
Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues
Wed, 28 Dec 2011'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
Ford recalling 126,000 Fusions and Milans over wheel separation concern
Fri, 09 Dec 2011Ford has announced a recall of certain Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan vehicles after an investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. A total of 128,616 2010 and 2011 models equipped with steel wheels may have been manufactured with wheel studs that could crack and split over time. If that happens, the vehicle may experience a wheel separation.
According to The Detroit News, the company is aware of a total of 30 wheel separation incidents, one of which occurred on the front of the vehicle. Even so, no injuries have been reported as a result of the defect.
The problem apparently stems from the fact that the mounting pads on the vehicles' steel wheels may have been faulty from the factory. In addition, the wheel mounting face on rear disc brakes may not have been installed properly. Ford will inspect the rear disc face and replace them as necessary. In addition, the company will replace all of the vehicle's wheel studs free of charge. Head to the NHTSA website for more information, and click past the jump to view the full recall notice.
