2005 SLK350 with 45,000 Miles. Clear title, no accidents. Custom factory ordered Blue leather interior. I also had HID Hyper bright blue/white head light system installed in the head lights and the fog lights to match. Spent $1200 but it gives the car a super car look at night, really nice and lights up the road like the sun! 3M Window tint all around, including a clear film on the entire windshield that protects the dash from sun damage, and keeps the car cool. 30% film on windows, 20% on rear. $500 for window film alone.

Purchased the car with 22k miles. I am the 2nd owner. Bought it from the MB dealer in Anchorage Alaska and I shipped it to Orlando Florida. It was a summer sunday car in Alaska. I have used it in Florida and put 20k miles on it. Runs flawlessly. Always maintained at a MB dealers under my ownership and all Services have been performed on time and at a MB Dealer in Anchorage, and then here in Maitland FL.

Car is in perfect condition, runs and drives like a dream. This car has more than enough power, it's like driving a small rocket - tons of horse power and torque. Could be put up agains similar cars with V8's and still bury them.

Convertible top works perfectly and can go up or down at a stop light. It's a real head turner.

This car is so much freaking fun, I have loved having this car and want to sell it to a responsible party who will care for it as I have.

Popular Science magazine's Best Of What's New 2012 all ate up with cars

Popular Science has named the winners in its Best of What's New awards, the victors coming in the categories of aerospace, automotive, engineering, entertainment, gadgets, green, hardware, health, home, recreation, security and software. The automotive category did not go wanting for lauded advancements:
Tesla Model S: the Grand Award winner for being "the standard by which all future electric vehicles will be measured."
BMW 328i: it's 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gets called out for being more powerful and frugal than the six-cylinder it replaces.

Clark Gable's 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing doesn't sell, then does sell for $1.85 million [UPDATE: w/video]

How much extra value does previous celebrity ownership add to of a car? Really, there's no way to know until the car in question hits the auction block and bidders start raising their hands. In the case of the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing you see above, the celebrity owner is none other than Clark Gable, who purchased it new. After Gable's death in 1960, the car changed hands a few times before settling with Charles Wood in 1975.
A high-dollar restoration was performed in 1989, and period accessories added by Gable himself were kept in place, including the Rudge knock-off wheels and Nardi steering wheel. Any Mercedes-Benz 300SL is worth a big chunk of money. In the case of Clark Gable's old Gullwing, the bidding stalled at $1.9 million here at the 2013 Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale. As one of the 5000-series cars, this 300SL carried a reserve, and a bit of after-the-fact dealmaking saw the car change hands for $1.85 million.
