VERY PRETY 5OO SL. LOOKS AND RUNS LIKE NEW. EVERYTHING WORKS AS IT SHOULD. IT HAS ONLY 132,000.THE CAR HAS A REBUILD TITLE BECAUSE OF A SMALL ACCIDENT.. ONLY THE FRONT BUMPER COVER WAS MISSING AND THE LEFT FENDER GOT SOME SCRATCH. LAST TWO PICTURES SHOW THE CAR AS WAS BOUGHT . MISSING THE FRONT BUMPER COVER. I STILL HAVE THE OLD FENDER THAT WAS REPLCE SO YOU CAN SEE IT WAS A LITTLE DAMAGE. I INSTALLED A 2006 SL 65 SIDE SKITS AND FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS . HAS NEW TIRES, BATERIES AND ALL ITS MANTENANCE TO DATE. VERY POWERFULL ENGINE THAT IS PRETY GOOD ON GAS. PLEAS IF YOU DONT HAVE THE MONEY TO BUY DONT BIT. COME CHECK , RUN , BRING YOUR MECHANIC. THERE WERE TWO LITTLE PLASTIC THAT WERE MISSING FROM THE LEVEL OF THE SEAT. HE TOLD ME HE WAS GOING TO ORDER THEM AND I TOLD HIM TO SENT THE RECEIP. HE NEVER SEND NOTHING BUT INSTEAD PREFER TO WRITE SOMTHING BAD. Mercedes FWD platform to last until 2018, convertible and two-seater future uncertain
Mon, 22 Jul 2013Mercedes-Benz seems to be expecting a lot of success from its front-wheel-drive CLA-Class. Automotive News is reporting that the sub-C-Class sedan could grow when its second generation arrives in 2018.
The current FWD platform for MB underpins the CLA, the B-Class, the GLA-Class, and the A-Class. The B-Class will arrive in North America as an EV for spring of 2014, while the production GLA crossover will arrive three to four months after that. The five-door A-Class won't be crossing The Pond. Sad faces all around.
According to AN, another model will be based on the front-drive architecture, but it won't be coming to the US market. Set to arrive next year, rumors are that it'll be a wagon version of the CLA, sort of like the ill-named five-door CLS Shooting Brake that is also a Europe-only item.
2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA order guide leaked
Wed, 06 Feb 2013The dealer order guide for the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA has made its way online courtesy of the crew at CLAForums.com, and not only does it shed light on the ways buyers will be able to configure the entry-level sedan, it talks specific option pricing. Shoppers will be able to select between the CLA250 and CLA250 4Matic, and the option sheet should offer a number of packages to suit buyer tastes, including a sport package with tweaked fascias and unique wheels. Bi-xenon headlamps and 18-inch alloys may also be had as well as a panoramic sunroof and a collision avoidance system. The CLA will be available with a number of active safety systems on board, including lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, park assist and blind spot assist, to name a few.
The new sedan comes in 10 colors, including a very dashing purple Mecedes-Benz calls Northern Lights Violet, and there are a total of four interior trim finishes. The automaker hasn't released final pricing of all models just as of yet - we do know from Mercedes' Kate Upton Super Bowl ad that the car will start at $29,900 - but you can check out individual option and package pricing in the gallery. Born of a Mercedes-Benz concept car, it's powered by a range of AMG-developed V8s, with five to six liters of displacement, depending on the engine. The example shown here, lapping the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit, features the most potent 6.0-liter V8 available. And rather than just being driven about on a perfectly clean racing line, it's freaking power sliding!
Yes, there's something eternally childlike about a wedge-shaped supercar from our formative years being flung about a Belgian racetrack. Adding to the appeal is the Imperator's stumpy, periscopic rear mirror, sticking out of the roof.
