Its a collector car!!!” “This 2006 Mercedes S65 AMG isnt just fast, its 747-on-takeoff fast. Its 6.0L twin turbo V12 produces 604 horsepower, and a blistering 738 ft-lbs of torque, nearly 100 more than the Dodge Challenger Hellcat. With the traction control turned off, youd be able to roast the rear tires at highway speeds. But thats not the best part - a Renntech ECU upgrade, with all other components untouched, would give you a net power of 700+ horsepower and 800+ ft-lbs of torque. This equates to a near 10-second quarter mile time and a more than 200 mph top speed. All this on a car that massages, heats, and cools your butt. This luxo-cruiser had a close to $200,000 MSRP when new, and it shows. Perforated Nappa leather seats, widescreen system, paddle shifters, alcantara suede headliner, and burlwood and aluminum accents absolutely everywhere. In my humble opinion, one of the best and most timeless looking S-Class bodies to date.

Piloting an 8,500-pound motorized house down the highway is far from my idea of fun, yet inexplicably, I'm enjoying myself. My grin has nothing to do with my camper's handling, as this heavily accoutered Mercedes-Benz Sprinter drives like a 25-foot long breadbox. My smile has nothing to do with on-road stability, as the ten-foot-tall, slab-sided vehicle reacts to wind gusts like the vertical stabilizer on a Boeing jet. My delight has nothing to do with its throttle or braking response, either, as both are as numb as your forehead after the eighth beer.
This monstrosity makes me happy for one reason - my passengers are undeniably having a good time.

2015 Mercedes C-Class order guide leaked
Wed, 23 Apr 2014We may not have an official starting price for the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, but as of right now, we can tell you about all the options for the eagerly anticipated new luxury sedan.
Benz Report has the entire order guide for the C-Class, with breakdowns from package pricing to how many different colors, wheel designs and lighting configurations will be available when the new model hits dealers later this year. As we mentioned in our initial review of the C-Class, there will be a pair of engine options, with the now familiar 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder available in both rear- and all-wheel-drive configurations and a 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V6, which can be had in all-wheel drive, only.
From there, though, the available options are impressive. Much like it does on the current car, Mercedes is offering a pair of packages that sort of define the entire car. With the C300, buyers will have the choice of either a Sport or Luxury package in addition to the base trim, while C400 buyers are limited to the Sport model.
