Why I Am Selling
I have found myself in need of a truck or SUV that I don't mind getting dirty and that can haul things. I will
really really miss this vehicle, as it has been incredibly reliable and an absolute blast to own, turning heads
wherever I drove. I was always proud to show it off
Blemishes (all pictured)
Front bumper left side: Some cracking from the last owner, I'm guessing they must have run over a curb at some
point. It has been glued to the point that it stays together and won't catch. Is honestly not noticeable from
standing height.
Rear right bumper: I had parked in a lot and someone backed into me while I was at the store and failed to leave
any information. The damage was paint only, but I haven't gotten around to getting it repainted, as I knew I had
some long road trips ahead of me and the interstate is rough on paint jobs.
Brake Calipers: some how the film has peeled off, most likely from age, resulting in the paint starting to rub off.
Right Fog light: must have been on a recent road trip, but it looks to me that a rock flew up and hit the glass.
Light still works fine, original housing included.
Impending Costs
Brakes and Rotors were done JAN of 2018
Radar Receiver portion has been on the fritz lately, was replaced last year, all other aspects of the integrated
system are functioning well
Left center parking sensor only works in the rain. Replacement sensor comes with the car, however I was waiting to
paint it until I painted the bumper

2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class revealed again in 1:18 scale
Fri, 10 May 2013There is plenty to look forward to when it comes to the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, but it could end up being a fairly anticlimactic reveal thanks to fully exposed spy shots, a leaked press photo and now images of a diecast version of the luxury sedan. Autoweek.nl has images showing a highly detailed 1:18 scale model of the redesigned S-Class that matches up with everything we've seen so far.
This isn't the first time a model car spoiled a new vehicle's reveal, as the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class and 2013 SRT Viper were both unceremoniously revealed in toy form first. World Car Fans is reporting that the car 2014 S-Class will be officially unveiled on May 15, but at this point, all that's left to wonder about is the official on-sale date and what will be under the hood.
Is Audi getting complacent and suffering from brain drain?
Wed, 27 Nov 2013The argument is made in a Reuters article: Audi is falling behind other luxury brands, such as Mercedes-Benz and BMW, due to a lack of research-and-development spending and "brain drain," or the migration of top executives and R&D chiefs to other parts of the Volkswagen Group. Reuters notes that Audi's current R&D chief is the third in 16 months.
Audi, which contributed to 40 percent of VW Group's $11.6 billion in profit the first nine months of the year, is delivering cars at a record pace: 1.31 million were delivered from January to October 2013 versus BMW's 1.35 million. Yet Audi, Reuters reports, doesn't have a halo car akin to BMW's new electrified i3 and i8 or an answer to Mercedes' plug-in-hybrid S-Class, and the R&D spending at Audi is less than BMW and Mercedes by a fair margin. It's noted in the article, however, that Audi benefits from other R&D spending within VW Group.
Reuters mentions that BMW "trumpets its new 'i' series" and the new Mercedes CLA and GLA ranges are winning "rave reviews" as part of its argument that Audi's recent lack of technological innovation could hurt future sales. Those cars do pack tons of new technology, some of which are firsts for mainstream production cars. But last time we checked, the i3 could be causing BMW's stock to slide, the CLA isn't receiving the rave reviews that Reuters would have you believe and the GLA hasn't been reviewed yet.
Next Mercedes S-Class stretching into this 600 Pullman limo
Fri, 15 Mar 2013To the concern of nobody in particular, Mercedes-Benz will not be re-upping its Maybach line of ultra-luxury limousines. No, instead the German automaker will be stretching its already roomy S-Class, to make this upcoming 600 Pullman version of the decked-out beast.
The car in our new gallery of spy shots is sporting beefy B-pillars and a massive set of rear doors that should allow perfectly graceful ingress and egress from what is likely to be a palatial rear space. (In one photo we can even see a long-wheelbase S-Class in line with the new Pullman, handily exhibiting the size of the new variant.) The exterior modifications are otherwise obscured, though we can guess at revised front and rear fascia and lighting elements, based on both end being heavily taped for these test runs.
It's a good bet that the Pullman will make use of M-B's twin-turbocharged V12 engine, though sources indicate that a hybrid version might eventually be in the offing, as well.
