I placed a special order for this vehicle and took delivery from Mercedes-Benz Laguna Niguel last month.  Well, I have driven sedans all my life and I have to tell you that I just miss my big S Class, so I am going to sell my new ML.  This ML is unlike 99.9% of them on the road, as it is loaded with options, including the "secret" Mercedes-Benz SPC or Special Order Options, which are not mentioned anywhere in the brochure or on the "Build Your Own" website.  This vehicle is "as new," without one mark on it, never been smoked in, never been valet parked, never hit, painted or touched up.  Never had an animal in it.  Still smells new!

I KNOW that you can order your own new ML, just like I did.  You can get a brand new one, for less than what I am offering this one for.  I know that. This is an opportunity for someone to get a near new, VERY LOADED, very unusual ML, TODAY, without having to wait the 8 to 10 weeks for a factory order.  You'll have it in plenty of time to enjoy this summer!

The vehicle is Polar White with Black Leather Interior and Anthracite Poplar Wood Trim.

The Special Order Options are as follows:

U09   MB Tex Wrapped Dashboard (stitching around the edges of dashboard)
293    Rear Side Airbags (protects rear seat passengers)
468    Active Curve System (special suspension upgrade)
581    3-Zone Automatic Climate Control
883    Soft Close Doors
489    Airmatic Air Suspension Package

Then, there are all of the regular options:

201    Black Leather
729    Anthracite Poplar Wood Trim
282    Rear-Seat Center Armrest Pass Through
289    Wood/Leather Steering Wheel
297    Manual 2nd Row Sunshades
311    Heated/Cooled Front Cupholders
399    Driver/passenger Multi-Contour Seats w/Massage
401    Heated/Ventilated Front Seats
550    Trailer Hitch
810    Harman/Kardon Logic7 Surround Sound System
876    Multi-Color Ambient Lighting w/Illuminated Door Sills
889    Keyless-GO
PO1   Option Package
319    Lighting Package
996    Parking Assist Package
997    Driver's Assistance Package

The MSRP on this vehicle was $76,120.00.  A copy of the window sticker is posted for your information.

Asking $75,000.00 or best, offer.  Offers without a "7" as the first digit will not even be considered.  Car is in Newport Beach, CA.

Mercedes-AMG GT attacks Circuit of the Americas

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

Mercedes-Benz is having a banner year with its Formula One team. Through 2014, the constructor has 454 championship points; ahead of its nearest competitor (Red Bull-Renault) by a margin of 182 tally marks. We're sure they can almost taste the champagne.
It's fitting then, and a little big cocky in a good way, that Mercedes has released a video of its newest sports car at an F1 venue. In this case, the car is the lovely Mercedes-AMG GT S, and the racetrack is Austin's Circuit of the Americas.
Having seen the official photo set and scratched the surface of the technical specifications earlier this week, we're excited to finally hear the thing run. As you might guess, the deployment of 503 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque from the twin-turbo V8 is a motivating experience. Crank up your volume, and hit that play button. (Oh, and Mercedes shot the thing in 4K, too, so those of you with expensive televisions/monitors should take heed to the settings.)

Mercedes-Benz to build new ML coupe-crossover in Alabama in 2015

Fri, 05 Sep 2014

Mercedes-Benz will expand its factory in Tuscaloosa, AL, to build the ML Coupe, a new crossover that will join its lineup in 2015. Mercedes will also ramp up production to build facelifted versions of the M-Class and GL-Class SUVs, lifting the factory's total production capacity to about 300,000 units annually in 2015. It made 185,000 vehicles in 2013. In addition to SUVs, the Tuscaloosa site also makes the C-Class sedan.
The plans come as part of Mercedes' strategy to capitalize on Americans' increasing demands for SUVs. The company said the SUV market was up 12 percent in first half of 2014, and expects it to grow at twice the rate of the regular market in 2015 and 2016.
"We are seeing climbing demand for SUVs." - Dieter Zetsche

YouTube's Super Bowl commercial buzz list dominated by automakers [w/videos]

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

After Sunday's big game, YouTube will be the place to watch every commercial that you missed when you left your seat for an emergency guac refill or, as we say in Cleveland, took the Browns to the Super Bowl. That makes YouTube the nation's water cooler on Monday, and it's got some preliminary stats to share in the lead up to kickoff.
As you know, Super Bowl advertisers, particularly automakers, like to endlessly tease their big budget commercials in the weeks before the game, many times revealing them outright days in advance. Because of this, YouTube can tell us which commercials have been viewed the most so far, and their top five list is all automakers.
Kaley Cuoco appears to have been a good investment for Toyota, as her ad for the RAV4 has garnered the most YouTube views - six million and counting - among Super Bowl commercials so far. Second place goes to Mercedes-Benz, though not its actual Super Bowl commercial, but rather the teaser for it. You know, the one with Kate Upton and the car washing, which is up to 5.6 million views. Third place is Audi's Prom commercial (3.3M views), fourth goes to Volkswagen's slightly controversial Get In, Get Happy ad (3.3M views), and the fifth and final spot is bookended by the teaser video for Kaley Cuoco's commercial (3.2M views). You can watch all five in order below.
