Up for sale is a 2012 GLX350 that I am selling for a friend. This legendary Mercedes quality vehicle only has a little over 11k miles. The GLX350 is a gem to drive. Its comfortable, has all the safety features you would expect in a vehicle with lots of power. This is a $40k+ vehicle so you will save big. He has priced this car thousands under the current book for quick sale. I will give my best to list the imperfections. Please note that I will help you with any questions that you may have so please ask me prior to any bids. The seller recommends that you have the vehicle inspected prior to your bid to satisfy all your questions. The vehicle is located in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida area. However, the owner lives in Tennessee and travels extensively which is the reason I am handling the transaction for him.

***There is a huge advantage buying from a private party where there is no pressure and you get the full history of the car while saving hundreds of dollars in fees dealers charge for their auctions and add-on's you didn't discover until you sat in front of the closing manager. OOPS!

As of the listing date, the vehicle has been to the Mercedes dealer.

The 1st service was performed on 2/7/13 at approximately 8k miles.

The 2nd service is dealer paid and due around 18k miles or 1 year from the 1st service per the Service Manager.

Condition of the vehicle:

Please see all the pictures I have provided. I can supply any additional pictures if needed. The vehicle drives straight like it came off the dealers lot. It starts up immediately, and all functions of the car operate as they should. Most of this is very minor and is related to the exterior. The vehicle has normal wear and tear for the short period of time it was owned. Tires are Continental 235-50-19. The car will be driven normal miles around town after the listing so please be aware of this.

1) You agree as Buyer to make an immediate $500 non-refundable deposit via Paypal. If for any reason you do not follow through with the sale, you agree this money will not be returned or refunded. Vehicle must be paid in full within 48 hrs of sale date and time unless other arrangements are made with Seller. Please have any financing in order prior to bid. Negative feedback will be left for non-paying winning bidders.

2) Balance of payment must be made via cash, bank check or wire transfer only. I will not release the vehicle to you until full payment is received and has cleared his bank and you have verifiable proof of insurance. This is standard practice.

3) If you intend to pay by bank check to the Lien holder, you will be supplied the payoff amount to submit to the bank with separate funds to the seller. If your institution does not follow this guideline, this will delay you taking possession of the vehicle. The title is held by his bank and will be released by the bank to you or your financial institution usually within 45 days. Buyer agrees to supply all necessary documents in a timely manner and pay all fees to transfer the vehicle into their name, including but not limited to registration, taxes etc.

4) The vehicle is being sold as-is, where-is, and only has a warranty if provided by the factory. It is the Buyers responsibility to verify if any warranty is available or transferrable. Any fees, in the transfer of said warranty is the responsibility of the Buyer.

Mercedes CLA45 AMG Racing is ready for a spot on the grid

Mercedes-Benz trotted out its CLA45 AMG-based racer at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. We first showed you the sedan in the deluge of news and reveals that precedes most good auto shows, and were blown away by the car, formally known as the CLA45 AMG Racing Series.
We were strolling by the Mercedes stand, and figured we'd pop in and take a look at the new racer and its carbon-fiber body panels, gutted interior, and race-sourced aero parts. It's a looker, both as a road car and a track weapon. It's not clear what series the CLA45 AMG will qualify for, although it does seem like a shoe-in for the World Touring Car Championship. 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class revealed again in 1:18 scale

There is plenty to look forward to when it comes to the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, but it could end up being a fairly anticlimactic reveal thanks to fully exposed spy shots, a leaked press photo and now images of a diecast version of the luxury sedan. Autoweek.nl has images showing a highly detailed 1:18 scale model of the redesigned S-Class that matches up with everything we've seen so far.
This isn't the first time a model car spoiled a new vehicle's reveal, as the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class and 2013 SRT Viper were both unceremoniously revealed in toy form first. World Car Fans is reporting that the car 2014 S-Class will be officially unveiled on May 15, but at this point, all that's left to wonder about is the official on-sale date and what will be under the hood.

UK workers strand car on island of asphalt to keep working

Generally speaking, when you illegally park your car, you're likely to get ticketed and towed, but there is probably at least one motorist in Scotland who wishes that was the case. After workers had blocked off a portion of the parking lot for the Edinburgh Waverley railway station, the driver of this Mercedes-Benz S-Class reportedly moved some of the barriers to park in one of the empty spots.
Rather than having the vehicle towed, the work crew simply tore up the asphalt around the leaving just the one parking spot intact, and as you can see in the image above (posted to the Twitter account of Harold Norstad), the crew even built a small asphalt ramp so the car could get off its blacktop pedestal. Since this happened last week, there's no word as to whether the car was eventually moved or towed for the resurfacing work to continue.
