1983 Mercedes-Benz GE280 Cabrio

VIN#2BG20628917025738

Up for sale 1983 Mercedes-Benz GE280 Cabrio. This type of Cabrio is very hard to find, from 1979 to now Mercedes-Benz  only build 20 Cabrios per year. The is why makes the cabrio hard to find in no rust or even rustbucket. The previous owner had owned the car for over 10 years in BC Canada. I had purchased the car from him over year ago and the car had some rust on the back penals under the tail lights. Power stering had a oil leck, valve gasket was leckig as well and front head light had a crack in side got rusty, the CD player was missing and the original steering wheel.

New paint on the car in 2010 . On the power stering leck I had replased new kit, I had not seen a oil spot on the garage floor . However I'm not driving the car so much I cannot guarantee if is fix the leck. I had instald new valve gasket .New head light was instald , new CD player . The back speakers sounds good only the front one is not very good as the back ones. The car comes with both steering wheels, tool kit, owner manual and first aid kit. The previous owner had instald new muffer and radiator. Soft top has some repair done on the right side and the is a cut on the rear window I had put clear tape over, and their is one more on the back gate window 2'' long. I had not seen any water  the got inside the car. There is a scratsh on the passenger door  I had put some touch up paint. The body on the G is very straight, however this is 30 years old car. For this 30 years old car i will say the is very good condition.

In  line 6 cylinders, 4 speed manual, 4x4, high and low, lock differential all in working order. The tiers about 60% good. This car is not a race car or driving  fast on freeway with a four speed transmission. Odometer is showing 75730 kilometers , however if is 175730 or 75730. The speed odemeter is still in kilometers not in mileas. I had drove this car from Canada to Vancouver WA with no problems at 110-120 kilometers in hour with no problems or any vibration. I had use this car aroud town only, never had took it off road. Please look at the photos the are been taking one day before.

I had descride the G wagon in best of my knowledge. The car is sold as is with out any warranty or return back for any reasons. You are welcome to do pre-purchased inspections or come and test drive it,  before the auctios ends. No inspectios after it sold. If you decide to drive the car cross-country you are on your own risk. Please dont asking about the reserve price , the reserve is very reasonable. I'm open for  offers to closed the auction early, please no low ballers. $500 Deposit is due in 48 hour after the auction ends. Canada or international buyers are welcome. For any qustions please call at 503-327-3848.

Mercedes to roll out C63 AMG late in 2014 with 4.0L V8

Mon, 30 Dec 2013

The new 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is upon us, launching initially in North America with turbocharged four-cylinder C300 4Matic and six-cylinder C400 4Matic flavors. But that's only the tip of the proverbial iceberg when it comes to the vast array of powertrain configurations that will be offered in the new C-Class in markets around the world. Orders will soon be rolling in for gasoline, hybrid and diesel engines with four, six or eight cylinders, driving the rear wheels or all four, with the seven-speed automatic transmission soon to be replaced by a new nine-speed unit. But what enthusiasts are really looking forward to is the next C63 AMG.
As BMW has done with the M3 (and new M4), Mercedes has gradually ratcheted up the cylinder count in its AMG C-Class, graduating from the 3.6-liter V6 in the original C36 AMG to the 4.3-liter V8 in the C43 AMG, then the 5.5-liter V8 in the C55 AMG before going the distance with the sublime 6.2-liter V8 in the C63 AMG. Like its rivals, Mercedes is expected to use turbochargers as a replacement for displacement in the next model, but unlike its Bavarian rival, it won't be losing any cylinders in the process.
Skipping the 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 that has gone on to power other AMG models, the next C63 AMG is still expected to introduce a new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing between 450 and 500 horsepower. It'll also reportedly keep the same seven-speed automatic transmission (instead of switching to the new nine-speed), but the jury's still out on whether it'll come with rear- or all-wheel drive (or offer buyers the choice). The downsized V8 - codenamed M177 - is then expected to find its way into other models, but the C-Class will be the first to get it when it arrives before the end of the new year ahead.

2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG rumbles on stage 4Matic style

Mon, 14 Jan 2013

Bruce Hornsby and his soothing piano skills helped introduce us to the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, but the monstrous E63 AMG sedan needed no entrance music as it rumbled on stage. The 550-horsepower (and up) sedan sat proudly alongside the rest of the redesigned E-Class on stage at the Detroit Auto Show, but stood miles apart in intention and execution.
In addition to a choice of sedan and wagon body styles, the E63 AMG will also offer buyers the choice of the standard 550 hp or an upgraded 577-hp S-Model; regardless of output, all 2014 E63 AMG models will come standard with the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system.
We already saw the E63 AMG's aggressive styling last week, but now we have a full assortment of live images for you to enjoy as well as the Mercedes-Benz press release, which is also posted below.

AMG-powered Aston Martins still years away

Mon, 16 Sep 2013

After flirting for several years, Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin have finally tied the knot. Just don't expect to see any offspring to result from the union for at least three or four years.
This according to Auto Express, which spoke with Daimler chief Dr. Dieter Zetsche at the Frankfurt Motor Show last week. AE reports that a new range of AMG-developed turbocharged V8s, transmissions and electrical components will make their way into the successors to the current V8 Vantage and DB9, but that these models are still a few years off.
Purists might balk at the thought of a Mercedes-powered Aston holding true to the brand's heritage. But while David Brown (for whom the DB range is named) may have steered clear of shoehorning in Detroit muscle into his cars, the entirety of the company's current range is powered by engines borrowing technology from Ford, and that arrangement seems to have worked well for Aston until now. And if you're still skeptical, look no further than Pagani and its AMG-sourced engines and you should have all the proof you need that the new relationship between Daimler and Aston could be a success.
