2009 Mercedes E350 4matic Awd W/ Premium 2 Pkg on 2040-cars
Birmingham, Michigan, United States
2009 E350 Artic White Mercedes 4Matic -V6 engine- 3.5 liter 4 Door Sedan - Sports & Premium II package with Comand with 40GB. This car is in GREAT condition and has only been serviced by a Mercedes dealership except for 2 oil changes. I am the second owner and bought this vehicle PRE-CERTIFIED with a lease turn in at Mercedes dealership. If you know about PRE-CERTIFICATION they basically change everything on the vehicle and it's like brand new. I'm only selling it, because I am getting a company car. This Mercedes is loaded with 6 CD changer, voice activation, navigation system, sunroof, keyless go, bi-Xenon active light system, IPOD/MP3, headlamp washing system, heated seats, 18" AMG twin 5 spoke alloy wheels, sunshield in rear window, steering wheel shift paddles, automatic 5-speed w/overdrive and touch shift. The car stereo is Harman Kardon. Currently, the vehicle has just under 72,000 miles and once you drive it, you'll love it! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. The asking price is under Kelly Blue Book value. I just had the car in for its Service Plan B maintenance schedule, which cost over $450. I have all the receipts of maintenance for this vehicle since I owned it. I took it to a wholesaler and he ran a paint check meter over the car and he said, "perfect", Currently, I drive this car so that's why I say it's under $72,000 for an estimate of mileage. I don't want to change the mileage every day on Ebay Motors. Email me for more pics! Feel free to check out the pricing at your local Mercedes dealership. You'll find that they want more for this exact car. Lastly, I have taken this vehicle to a wholesaler and was offered $16,600 and they did a paint test throughout the vehicle. I will not accept offers lower than $17,200, because I can get that from a local buyer and I'm in no hurry to sell for a low price. Thanks for looking! |

2014 Mercedes-Benz S500 Plug-in Hybrid for fat cats frugal with fuel
Thu, 12 Sep 2013Judging by how long we waited to get a clear shot of the Mercedes-Benz S500 Plug-in Hybrid, you'd have thought hybrid cars were only driven by Terminators and that the technology arrived only 48 hours ago through a wormhole in the Mercedes stand. The newest member of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class hybrid band - joining the S400 Hybrid and S350 BlueTEC Hybrid, it hits notes like a 5.5-second sprint from standstill to 62 miles per hour, up to 19 miles of ion-powered running and uses three liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers in Europe (78.41 mpg US, but our mpg test cycle is different than their mpg test cycle).
The lump up front is a turbocharged, 3.0-liter V6, the lump in back - note the reduction in trunk space - is a pack of lithium-ion batteries that juice an 80-kilowatt electric motor. Other than having four drive options for controlling electric drive and battery usage, it's all S-Class all the time, with leather-covered everything and those mountainous thrones that bring to mind words like "Archduke" and "Papal."
You'll find our hard-earned gallery from the Frankfurt Motor Show floor above, and more words of information in the press release below.
XCAR marks 20-year anniversary of Senna's passing with Mercedes 190E Cosworth
Thu, 01 May 2014While the automotive world is focusing on the twentieth anniversary of Ayrton Senna's death, there was much, much more to the legendary driver than his untimely passing at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.
XCAR has the story of a younger Senna, who, by a stroke of luck, found himself matched up against a veritable dream team of nine Formula One champions, not to mention a cadre of German touring car aces. A "probably still pissed (drunk)" James Hunt, hard-driving Niki Lauda and future champion and rival Alain Prost, were in attendance for the one-off, spec race, which was put on by Mercedes-Benz, in honor of the opening of the Nürburgring's Grand Prix circuit. And Senna was on hand with the explicit goal of besting them all.
Each driver was handed a lightly modified, but brand-new 190E 2.3-16 Cosworth, a car that can best be though of as the distant ancestor of the lovable C63 AMG. As for the race itself, well, it was sort of like an introduction of what the sport could come to expect from the Brazilian.
Why all of this year's F1 noses are so ugly [w/video]
Fri, 31 Jan 2014If you're a serious fan of Formula One, you already know all about The Great Nosecone Conundrum of 2014. Those given to parsing each year's F1 regulations predicted the strong possibility of the so-called "anteater" noses as far back as early December 2013. Highly suggestive visual evidence first came after Caterham's crash test in early January, with further proof coming as soon as Williams showed a rendering of the FW36 challenger for this year's championship. That car earned a name that wasn't nearly so kind as "anteater."
Casual followers of the sport - or anyone who gets the feed from this site - probably don't know what's happening, except to wonder why the current year's F1 cars are led by appendages that would make Cyrano de Bergerac feel a whole lot better about himself.
The short answer to the question of ugsome F1 noses is "FIA regulations and safety." The reason there are various kinds of ugsome noses is simpler: engineers. The same boffins who have given us advances including carbon fiber monocoques, six-wheeled cars, double diffusers and Drag Reduction Systems are bred to do everything in their power to exploit every possible freedom in the regulations to make the cars they're building go faster - the caveat being that those advances have to work within the overall philosophy of the whole car.
