I am listing this car for a friend of mine in the automotive business. This is an all original car , accident and paintwork free and the body is in amazing condition with 1 small ding on the roof. The rest of the cars body is amazingly straight and the paint holds a great shine. There was never a front plate drilled into the front bumper and there is a small crack where the plate would go. If you are in a state that requires a front plate you would never tell. There is a rust spot on the passenger side quarter panel. If you are familiar with these w210 series cars this is a common issue. This car was never driven in the winter nor foul weather. Always garage kept! The interior screams new. This was a non smokers car! The rims are in amazing condition inside and out. 0 curb marks. In my opinion the 99 is my favorite year. The factory glass has a blue tint to them and I love the styling of the front and back bumpers. The car runs and shifts perfect, holds the road with excellent feedback and the front end and brakes are great! The 2 back windows are not functioning .The a/c is cold and the heat is hot. All the rest of the buttons function like they should! The spare tire is new and never hit the ground. The undercarriage is super clean. There cars were made in very limited numbers and not many around in this condition! Any other questions you can contact me direct at 917 295 0620.

There is a $500.00 pay pal deposit required within 24 hours closure of the auction. The rest of the payment can be in person, bank check or certified funds. Once the funds are cleared the car will be released. This is an as-is sale. We welcome any serious buyer to have an on site inspection preformed. The buyer is responsible for shipping , we will assist if need be. photo DSCN0482.jpg

2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class caught totally undisguised

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

Based on the lightly camouflaged spy shots of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class we've seen lately, it hasn't taken a vivid imagination to picture what the next iteration of this big luxury sedan will look like. Even so, we now we have our first unobstructed views of the redesigned S-Class, codenamed W222, as it has just been caught out flaunting for some promo shots.
The first thing we notice about the new S-Class design is the disappearance of the last generation's flared wheel arches. Yet the new design adds even more character with bodyside creases similar to the CLS-Class and some elements reminiscent of 2007's F700 Concept, including the massive grille and vertical LED taillights. Other key details include a large panoramic roof and the narrow exhaust outlets, but the large LED-trimmed headlights and the aggressive front fascia are probably the biggest departure from the current design. With these spy shots, we also catch a blurry shot of the interior, but we've seen a practically uncovered look at the new S-Class' cabin back in January.
Overall, the next S-Class sports an expressive and premium new look, but as far as all-new designs go, it's quite conservative - a move no doubt fitting for these lean financial times.

Mercedes-Benz killing Maybach in 2013, replacing with S600 Pullman

Fri, 25 Nov 2011

According to an unnamed Mercedes-Benz source speaking with AutoWeek, the German automaker is killing off its Maybach line in 2013.
The unsurprising news comes after the brand was resurrected in 2002, but failed to meet sales expectations with its two core models, the Maybach 57 and 62. Further solidifying its fate, a deal with Aston Martin to aid in the development of future Maybachs fell through earlier this year.
According to the AutoWeek insider, the plan is to continue to sell both Maybach models through the end of 2013, after which the fifth-generation S-Class will go on sale. When that happens, three new variants of the S-Class will be available, including an all-new, range-topping S600 that brings back the Pullman moniker and may be better suited to competing with the likes of Bentley and Rolls-Royce.

Why all of this year's F1 noses are so ugly [w/video]

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

If you're a serious fan of Formula One, you already know all about The Great Nosecone Conundrum of 2014. Those given to parsing each year's F1 regulations predicted the strong possibility of the so-called "anteater" noses as far back as early December 2013. Highly suggestive visual evidence first came after Caterham's crash test in early January, with further proof coming as soon as Williams showed a rendering of the FW36 challenger for this year's championship. That car earned a name that wasn't nearly so kind as "anteater."
Casual followers of the sport - or anyone who gets the feed from this site - probably don't know what's happening, except to wonder why the current year's F1 cars are led by appendages that would make Cyrano de Bergerac feel a whole lot better about himself.
The short answer to the question of ugsome F1 noses is "FIA regulations and safety." The reason there are various kinds of ugsome noses is simpler: engineers. The same boffins who have given us advances including carbon fiber monocoques, six-wheeled cars, double diffusers and Drag Reduction Systems are bred to do everything in their power to exploit every possible freedom in the regulations to make the cars they're building go faster - the caveat being that those advances have to work within the overall philosophy of the whole car.
