Selling my pristine 2009 AMG CL63 in excellent condition. Always maintained with open checkbook by Micheal Crawley at European Auto Teknics in Houston, TX so needs nothing except an oil change in 5k miles. All major services have been performed and brand new Continental Tires were installed the first week of August. Professionally hand washed detailed and regularly clay bared etc to keep the car looking great. The car still smells new and had been garage kept every night for the last 4 years I have owned it. I still love this car but selling to get S63 Convertible. I have both keys, manuals and factory paperwork from the factory included. A few of the options I can recall off the top of my head are: Premium Packages #1&2 Performance Packages #1&2 NightVision Camera Navigation Backup Camera Illuminated Door Sills Stainless Steel door inserts AMG Split Spoke 20 Wheels Bluetooth phone and Audio so you can stream music from your phone. Designo Alcantera Headliner Harmon Kardon 900 watt Stereo Im sure I forgot a few but the car is fully loaded, still get looks and compliments everywhere I go and drives like the day it came out the factory door. The dealership said my car was in excellent shape and offered me a very fair trade number but I thought I would try to sell her first on my own before I traded to the dealer. When I purchased the vehicle there was a misread mileage entry at 26k miles which looked like the odometer was rolled back Three Hundred miles but that was never the case. The car is mint and probably the finest example of a big V8 handmade AMG car on the market, fyi the 2008 model years are issue plagued and I passed over 4 before I found this car after 9 months of searching. I opted for a 2009 because I wanted the long term reliability of a big V8 over the new TT models and all the issues that come with owning a TT vehicle. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class lineup shows its freshened face

Mon, 14 Jan 2013

Mercedes-Benz showed us its redesigned 2014 E-Class more than a month ago, but the Detroit Auto Show finally gave us a chance to see the full family of mid-size luxury cars and wagons in the flesh. Dieter Zetsche introduced the cars, including sedan, coupe, convertible and station wagon, on stage showing the stylish new design direction.
The wagon and sedan versions (shown as the E400 Hybrid above) will go on sale this spring, while the coupe and cabriolet will hit showrooms over the summer. Check our new gallery of live shots for the entire 2014 E-Class lineup, as well as the previously released press release below.

Why all of this year's F1 noses are so ugly [w/video]

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

If you're a serious fan of Formula One, you already know all about The Great Nosecone Conundrum of 2014. Those given to parsing each year's F1 regulations predicted the strong possibility of the so-called "anteater" noses as far back as early December 2013. Highly suggestive visual evidence first came after Caterham's crash test in early January, with further proof coming as soon as Williams showed a rendering of the FW36 challenger for this year's championship. That car earned a name that wasn't nearly so kind as "anteater."
Casual followers of the sport - or anyone who gets the feed from this site - probably don't know what's happening, except to wonder why the current year's F1 cars are led by appendages that would make Cyrano de Bergerac feel a whole lot better about himself.
The short answer to the question of ugsome F1 noses is "FIA regulations and safety." The reason there are various kinds of ugsome noses is simpler: engineers. The same boffins who have given us advances including carbon fiber monocoques, six-wheeled cars, double diffusers and Drag Reduction Systems are bred to do everything in their power to exploit every possible freedom in the regulations to make the cars they're building go faster - the caveat being that those advances have to work within the overall philosophy of the whole car.

Mercedes-AMG GT attacks Circuit of the Americas

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

Mercedes-Benz is having a banner year with its Formula One team. Through 2014, the constructor has 454 championship points; ahead of its nearest competitor (Red Bull-Renault) by a margin of 182 tally marks. We're sure they can almost taste the champagne.
It's fitting then, and a little big cocky in a good way, that Mercedes has released a video of its newest sports car at an F1 venue. In this case, the car is the lovely Mercedes-AMG GT S, and the racetrack is Austin's Circuit of the Americas.
Having seen the official photo set and scratched the surface of the technical specifications earlier this week, we're excited to finally hear the thing run. As you might guess, the deployment of 503 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque from the twin-turbo V8 is a motivating experience. Crank up your volume, and hit that play button. (Oh, and Mercedes shot the thing in 4K, too, so those of you with expensive televisions/monitors should take heed to the settings.)
