1986 Mercedes 560 Sec Project Not Running But Not Blown Up on 2040-cars

Year:1986 Mileage:156550
Location:

Newman Lake, Washington, United States

This car DOES NOT RUN! My Washington state title is NOT BRANDED. THE PREVIOUS TITLE WAS NOT BRANDED! However e-bays "Auto Check" Says it was branded in Canada which I do not find any record of the car being titled there in Canada. If I find 100% proof of it being not branded I will change the listing. .This car has had several thousand spent on it in the last couple years.   New parts include all 4 brake rotors, radiator, master cylinder, starter, both fuel pumps with accumulator and filter, distributor cap, spark plug wires, starter, and front tries.  The front tires are Les Schwab 15 inch ( 1 year old 100 miles) and the rear are just fair 16 inch.  The rims are Centra brand in poor shape. Spare is 16" Centra with bald tire.  Car is not all rusted out.  Both front fenders have been unbolted.  Interior is fair.  Door panels missing pockets.  Drivers arm rest broken. Front seat stiching is pulling apart but the leather is not worn thru or torn.  Glass is good.  Windows go up and down. Sun roof inop with several new parts and seal. Carpets good but dirty. Inside trunk nice shape. but needs cleaned. No obvious cancer.  Has dented area at rear license.  I have the front fender trim that is missing in the photos. The car ran and drove before intake manifold was removed for replacement of main air boot.  The project was not finished by previous owner.  I have never run this car. The transmission works okay I was told. Pre-cat is there but the main cat is missing. Stock muffler gone. but pipes are there instead. This car is being sold AS-IS without any warranty. I will gladly answer any questions and provide pictures or any area requested. I have a clear Washington state title in my name. I will assist getting car loaded but all transport is the buyer responsibility. I will answer questions promptly and provide my phone number if requested.

Mercedes-AMG GT attacks Circuit of the Americas

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

Mercedes-Benz is having a banner year with its Formula One team. Through 2014, the constructor has 454 championship points; ahead of its nearest competitor (Red Bull-Renault) by a margin of 182 tally marks. We're sure they can almost taste the champagne.
It's fitting then, and a little big cocky in a good way, that Mercedes has released a video of its newest sports car at an F1 venue. In this case, the car is the lovely Mercedes-AMG GT S, and the racetrack is Austin's Circuit of the Americas.
Having seen the official photo set and scratched the surface of the technical specifications earlier this week, we're excited to finally hear the thing run. As you might guess, the deployment of 503 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque from the twin-turbo V8 is a motivating experience. Crank up your volume, and hit that play button. (Oh, and Mercedes shot the thing in 4K, too, so those of you with expensive televisions/monitors should take heed to the settings.)

Mercedes dealers authorized to spend $2,500 on perks for S-Class customers

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

If you drop $100,000 on a luxury sedan, it seems only reasonable to receive some preferential treatment at the dealership you purchased from. After all, that price isn't just for the car - you're paying for the brand and all the cachet that entails. For Mercedes-Benz, those benefits have apparently been lacking relative to the German brand's luxury competitors.
That's set to change, though, as Automotive News reports that the German brand is placing a much greater emphasis on keeping its customers happy and loyal with its MB Select program. Starting with the new S-Class and spreading to the CLA-Class (and eventually beyond), dealers are being given money - up to $2,500 in the case of the flagship sedan - just to improve the customer experience.
We agree, improving the "customer experience" is quite a vague term, so it's nice that Mercedes USA's CEO, Steve Cannon, offered up some examples to AN at the LA Auto Show. For example, a customer couldn't fit his sunglasses into the overhead compartment. "So we bought him a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses that fit because of their shape," Cannon said.

In Which Mercedes' Sprinter Becomes A Long-Distance Sherpa
In the wintery wilds of northern Alaska, even the cute little critters want to kill you.
As I am about to nod off on my long leg flight from Minneapolis to Anchorage ahead of driving to the Arctic Circle, the friendly twenty-something Alaskan knitting furiously in the seat next to me pauses and says, "When you're driving up there, don't open your windows." In the dead of winter? I hadn't planned on cruising alfresco, but her warning to keep the glazing snugged against the weatherstripping is one I would take to heart. She continues: "If you leave 'em open, a fox is liable to jump right in. There are lots of rabid foxes up there, and they leap into your car and just Go. To. Town." And here I was, thinking that a curious bear or maybe an ill-placed moose in the road was going to be my biggest potential four-legged threat. In the wintery wilds of northern Alaska, even the cute little critters want to kill you.
