1989 Mercedes Benz 420sel Almandine Red 44,963 Original Miles, One Owner. on 2040-cars
New Hyde Park, New York, United States
Bruno Sacco, the Italian designer of the infamous Mercedes Benz W126 is now relived in this world class example, a 1989 Almandine Red Metallic Mercedes Benz 420 sel. This one owner, very low mileage (44,963) Mercedes is truly among one of the finest in the world that has still survived. The car has always been garaged, never seen snow, and has always been maintained and serviced at the Mercedes Dealer. Featuring the exterior color in Almandine Red Metallic, with a light beige interior, this is truly one of the rarest color combinations ever produced by Mercedes Benz . It runs and looks just like it rolled out of the showroom. It is by far one of the nicest cars to drive, the transmission shifts beautifully and accelerates with ease. It comes equipped with one of the rarest options that was available and is known as pneumatic cushions in the driver, and passenger seat. What this option allows you to do is to select a position in the seat and then with the turn of a dial enhance back and leg support. It comes with two Master Keys and the Valet Key. This was my uncles car from New Jersey and he gave it to me since he is no longer driving it and is just sitting in the garage. He stated that he took out the rear headrests since he was unable to see out of the back window, along with the owners manuals. He said that he would look for them and if he finds them will give them to me, and I will forward to the new owner You will not find another one as nice as this, so do NOT MISS out on this once in a lifetime opportunity to own one of the Best Mercedes ever built ! Mercedes dealers authorized to spend $2,500 on perks for S-Class customers
Mon, 02 Dec 2013If you drop $100,000 on a luxury sedan, it seems only reasonable to receive some preferential treatment at the dealership you purchased from. After all, that price isn't just for the car - you're paying for the brand and all the cachet that entails. For Mercedes-Benz, those benefits have apparently been lacking relative to the German brand's luxury competitors.
That's set to change, though, as Automotive News reports that the German brand is placing a much greater emphasis on keeping its customers happy and loyal with its MB Select program. Starting with the new S-Class and spreading to the CLA-Class (and eventually beyond), dealers are being given money - up to $2,500 in the case of the flagship sedan - just to improve the customer experience.
We agree, improving the "customer experience" is quite a vague term, so it's nice that Mercedes USA's CEO, Steve Cannon, offered up some examples to AN at the LA Auto Show. For example, a customer couldn't fit his sunglasses into the overhead compartment. "So we bought him a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses that fit because of their shape," Cannon said.
Test drive the Mercedes SLS AMG Electric Drive with Chris Harris
Thu, 11 Apr 2013It's hard to not like the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT. The all-aluminum coupe is fitted with a wonderful naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 delivering 583 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. Not only does the burly combustion engine launch the two-seater to 60 miles per hour in less than four seconds, but it does so with one of the world's greatest exhaust soundtracks as it roars, burbles and cackles down the road.
But what happens when Mercedes-Benz takes away the V8 and its accompanying fire-burning song? Stripped of one of its most appealing assets, does the SLS lose its soul?
Chris Harris recently had the opportunity to take the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive for a track spin in Europe. Sans gasoline, but with four electric motors providing a combined 740 horsepower (737 pound-feet of torque), all-electric all-wheel drive coupe uses sophisticated torque vectoring and a multi-mode operating system to put oversteer - drifting! - back into the equation. Fun? You bet. See for yourself, below.
Missouri Mercedes dealer offering free Smart with every SLS AMG purchase
Wed, 05 Dec 2012The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT is an exquisite sports car that probably needs no help flying off dealer lots, even with a starting price of almost $200,000, but Mercedes-Benz of Kansas City has come up with an interesting incentive to sweeten the deal. For buyers who purchase a new SLS AMG from dealer stock before the end of the year, the dealership is throwing in a new Smart Fortwo from its inventory at no charge... with a required coupon no less.
In addition to being a great tactic to get a little free press, the spare car also makes sense as an alternative to the SLS, which measures more than 15-feet long - almost twice the length of a Fortwo - and has a 563-horsepower engine that sucks down gas at the rate of 13 miles per gallon in city driving (and even that's provided you don't give in to the devil on your shoulder). Plus, at the end of the day, this really isn't that big of an incentive. Being given a slow-selling $12,490 car for the purchase of a model starting at $199,500 represents about a six percent incentive, which is along the lines of a $1,900 rebate for a $30,000 car.
To get the free Smart, just visit the Mercedes-Benz of Kansas City Facebook page, redeem the coupon and then go buy yourself a new SLS AMG. Congratulations!
