1985 Mercedes Benz 300 td-t wagon with only 139,000 miles, thousands of dollars of service records and receipts. This is a rare 85 EURO (grey market) Mercedes Benz 300 TDT, with the rare option of anti-lock brakes and a third row seat. This car has new tires, new alternator, new front shocks, new brake pads. This car runs great, looks good with a recent paint job, I had great plans for this car and I would love to keep it but unfortunately the CA DMV won't let me get it plated for use in my state due to it being a EURO model. The previous owners replaced the euro lights and euro bumpers for american spec ones and it will come this way for the next owner. I have used this wagon for almost a year and runs great.

The engine starts at the turn of the key and sounds very healthy, the acceleration is superb (Compared to other MB diesel cars I have owned) and the entire drivetrain is solid and tight, this wagon runs extremely well and does not have any strange noises, the transmission shifts like clockwork thru all the gears.

The seats have been reupholstered at some point in time but no rips or tears, bear in mind this is not a show car or a frame off restoration but a solid and reliable daily driver and can easily be converted to vegetable oil if desired.

I want to be as accurate as possible describing this vehicle so here are the only issues that I know should be addressed and you should know of:

There is a small oil leak on the right side of the engine, my MB tech told me this would cost around $400 to fix, A/C not blowing cold, might need recharge, this car was on the east coast before I got it and has a little bit of rust in some parts, but nothing that should scare you away or any metal parts falling apart and rotting, on scale from 1 to 10 with 1 being serious rust and 10 being perfect condition I would rate this car a 7

I have priced it accordingly, taking into consideration what the car needs but also the potential and how strong and solid this wagon is. If you are looking for a low mileage daily driver this might be the way to go, only needs a little bit of TLC and this can be a very good solid commuter, that was my plan until "the man" wouldn't let me register it and now I hate to do this but I have to sell it at a loss, this is really one of those "my loss your gain" kinda deal......

THIS IS A EURO MODEL PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR HOME STATE IF YOU CAN GET IT REGISTERED BEFORE YOU BUY IT, this wagon has a clear Virginia title and I know for a fact that it cannot be registered here in sunny California.

THE VIN# IN THE LISTING IS NOT ACCURATE, THE LISTING WOULDN'T LET ME POST THE CAR FOR SALE WITH MY VIN DUE TO IT BENG A EURO MODEL, THIS IS THE CORRECT VIN# FOR MY WAGON:

WDB1231931F050741

Please ask any questions you may have before you bid/buy, the car is available for inspection in Los Angeles Ca. and inspections are encouraged to avoid any misunderstandings.

Thank you for looking at my auction and happy bidding!!!!!!

Next Mercedes-Benz C-Class to get diesel, hybrid versions

Tue, 16 Apr 2013

Mercedes-Benz is planning a more aggressive product strategy for its next-generation C-Class range. "We were fighting the 3 Series with two arms tied behind our back, and now we will change that," Steve Cannon, the automaker's US CEO, told Automotive News in a recent interview.
In addition to offering more body styles of the new C-Class, AN reports that the revamped Mercedes will also be offered here with hybrid and diesel powertrains. Currently, the C-Class comes in coupe and sedan variants, with only gasoline engines. The BMW 3 Series, however, is available as a sedan, coupe, convertible and wagon, and offers buyers the choice of gasoline, diesel (the upcoming 328d) or hybrid power.
Mercedes-Benz will show the next-generation C-Class at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, with sales of the US-built sedan following in August. Coupe, convertible and hybrid models will follow in early 2015, and while diesel and all-wheel-drive versions are planned, no specific timetable has been released regarding availability.

Daimler names Bernd Pischetsrieder to supervisory board

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Some executives in the automotive industry stay with one company for their entire careers, while others bounce from one to the other, often leaving their indelible mark on each automaker at which they serve. Bob Lutz is certainly an example of the latter. So is Lee Iacocca, having presided over Ford and later charing the Chrysler board. Carlos Tavares was chief operating officer of Renault before being nominated as chief executive at PSA Peugeot Citroën. But as far as the Germans go, nobody's jumped from the leadership of one automaker to the next quite like Bernd Pischetsrieder - especially now that he's been named to the supervisory board of Mercedes-Benz parent company Daimler.
An engineer by training, Pischetsrieder started his career at BMW in 1973, eventually rising to the office of CEO after twenty years. There he remained until 1999, only to be dismissed after orchestrating BMW's takeover of the Rover Group (of which only the Mini brand remains in the company's portfolio, the other brands having been sold off after his dismissal).
The next year he was named chairman of Volkswagen's Seat brand, and rose to the chairmanship of the entire Volkswagen Group two years later. Despite a largely successful four-year tenure (that gave birth, incidentally, to the Bugatti Veyron), disagreements with supervisory board chairman Ferdinand Piëch saw him leave the helm at VW AG, focusing his attention on the Scania truck division. He's since been touted as a potential chief executive for Opel and for Continental, but neither potential was apparently realized.

Mercedes-AMG GT attacks Circuit of the Americas

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

Mercedes-Benz is having a banner year with its Formula One team. Through 2014, the constructor has 454 championship points; ahead of its nearest competitor (Red Bull-Renault) by a margin of 182 tally marks. We're sure they can almost taste the champagne.
It's fitting then, and a little big cocky in a good way, that Mercedes has released a video of its newest sports car at an F1 venue. In this case, the car is the lovely Mercedes-AMG GT S, and the racetrack is Austin's Circuit of the Americas.
Having seen the official photo set and scratched the surface of the technical specifications earlier this week, we're excited to finally hear the thing run. As you might guess, the deployment of 503 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque from the twin-turbo V8 is a motivating experience. Crank up your volume, and hit that play button. (Oh, and Mercedes shot the thing in 4K, too, so those of you with expensive televisions/monitors should take heed to the settings.)
