The clear coat has started to peel and the chrome could use a good polishing."

This in my opinion is one of the best Mercedes models ever built.(The w123)  If you're looking or researching this model you know that the 300D can go well over 350,000 miles.

Like mentioned in the earlier description this is not a show car. The clear coat has finally started to peel and the chrome is looking a bit cloudy now. Everything works on the car except the AC, rear power antenna. The two rear windows need to be placed back on the power window track. The motors work very well however I've just been to lazy to take the door panels off.

The car also needs to have the sunroof drains cleared. I keep the car garaged however if caught outside during a heavy rain you'll notice light drips from the sunroof. I may do this before the sale.

The car has new breaks, battery, battery tray, transmission mount, and steering work completed. The oil change and fuel filters were also completed last week 8/8/13. The car drives smooth and this transmission shift exactly as it should. No major bumps between shifts.

I have 100% positive feedback. I want to be as forthcoming about the car as possible. If you have any further questions please feel free to message me.

Best

-Greg

Mercedes Makes A Mighty Little Sedan
We got overexcited when the W203 Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan came out in 2001, calling it the "Baby Benz" when it really wasn't. We knew that, too, but our enthusiasm for a model more like the old 190 of the '80s was so strong that we were willing to stretch the first-gen C-Class to fit that mold. Today, the C-Class has done what all German premium cars do: grown in size. In this case, grown to satisfy the market intentions of the previous E-Class.
There was the tall A-Class sold from 1998 through 2010, but we never considered that a serious small Benz in the proper spirit, nor was it ever offered in the US. Regardless, we've been craving a smaller, premium, sexy sedan all the while.

AMG-powered Aston Martins still years away

Mon, 16 Sep 2013

After flirting for several years, Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin have finally tied the knot. Just don't expect to see any offspring to result from the union for at least three or four years.
This according to Auto Express, which spoke with Daimler chief Dr. Dieter Zetsche at the Frankfurt Motor Show last week. AE reports that a new range of AMG-developed turbocharged V8s, transmissions and electrical components will make their way into the successors to the current V8 Vantage and DB9, but that these models are still a few years off.
Purists might balk at the thought of a Mercedes-powered Aston holding true to the brand's heritage. But while David Brown (for whom the DB range is named) may have steered clear of shoehorning in Detroit muscle into his cars, the entirety of the company's current range is powered by engines borrowing technology from Ford, and that arrangement seems to have worked well for Aston until now. And if you're still skeptical, look no further than Pagani and its AMG-sourced engines and you should have all the proof you need that the new relationship between Daimler and Aston could be a success.

2014 Mercedes SL and SLK add small expansion to Takata airbag recall

Fri, 11 Jul 2014

Mercedes-Benz is the latest automaker to be affected by Takata's massive airbag recall. The company has announced a voluntary recall campaign on a small number of model-year 2014 SLK- and SL-Class roadsters.
In Mercedes' case, 300 vehicles are affected, 200 of which are in the hands of customers. According to spokesperson Donna Boland, the affected roadsters were built between March and April of this year.
The issue, which is apparently the fault of one of Takata's subcontractors, rests with some improperly installed fasteners, which could keep the airbag from performing the way it's supposed to. According to Boland, Mercedes isn't sure what, if any, injuries the recalled airbags could cause, but simply claims there's an increased risk in these particular vehicles. There's been no reported instances of the faulty airbags deploying on a customer and the original issue was found in a production test.
