This 1985 Mercedes 300D has been our daily driver for many years, and has never let us down. Has been converted to run on WVO, and system works perfectly. Will save you a ton on fuel cost.
269,800 original miles on a car capable of hitting a million, and runs great.
Current inspection. Mechanically sound.
Windows open and close when they want to...motors run. I'm sure an easy fix. Some body rust as one would expect, but minimal compared to many I've seen. Frame solid. Newer brakes, new exhaust within the last year.
Drivers side front fender dented, see pics. Does not affect opening or closing of hood. Will need marker light, which I've seen on Ebay for around $30.00.
Low starting bid. No reserve.
You are welcome to make arrangements to see the car before the auction ends - just message through ebay and we'll set it up.
TERMS: Non-refundable deposit of $500.00 due immediately upon auction end via paypal. Balance due and vehicle pick up required within 72 hours of auction end. Failure to comply with these terms will void the sale. Seller will keep deposit and retain ownership of vehicle, with no obligation to the buyer.
This vehicle is being sold As-Is, Where-Is.

Mon, 19 Aug 2013LA To The Grand Canyon In The Mercedes-Benz Of RVs
Piloting an 8,500-pound motorized house down the highway is far from my idea of fun, yet inexplicably, I'm enjoying myself. My grin has nothing to do with my camper's handling, as this heavily accoutered Mercedes-Benz Sprinter drives like a 25-foot long breadbox. My smile has nothing to do with on-road stability, as the ten-foot-tall, slab-sided vehicle reacts to wind gusts like the vertical stabilizer on a Boeing jet. My delight has nothing to do with its throttle or braking response, either, as both are as numb as your forehead after the eighth beer.
This monstrosity makes me happy for one reason - my passengers are undeniably having a good time.
Mercedes dealers authorized to spend $2,500 on perks for S-Class customers
Mon, 02 Dec 2013If you drop $100,000 on a luxury sedan, it seems only reasonable to receive some preferential treatment at the dealership you purchased from. After all, that price isn't just for the car - you're paying for the brand and all the cachet that entails. For Mercedes-Benz, those benefits have apparently been lacking relative to the German brand's luxury competitors.
That's set to change, though, as Automotive News reports that the German brand is placing a much greater emphasis on keeping its customers happy and loyal with its MB Select program. Starting with the new S-Class and spreading to the CLA-Class (and eventually beyond), dealers are being given money - up to $2,500 in the case of the flagship sedan - just to improve the customer experience.
We agree, improving the "customer experience" is quite a vague term, so it's nice that Mercedes USA's CEO, Steve Cannon, offered up some examples to AN at the LA Auto Show. For example, a customer couldn't fit his sunglasses into the overhead compartment. "So we bought him a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses that fit because of their shape," Cannon said.
