Only 95,000 Miles, Power Top Works No Leaking Cylinders, No Leaks At All on 2040-cars
Pataskala, Ohio, United States
1993 300SL silver over grey, only 95,000 miles, AMG wheels, Kenwood stereo with dual amplifiers and 10 disc CD changer, power soft top works and is in decent shape (the quarter windows need re-stitched on one side), 17" AMG wheels, no rust anywhere on the car and no leaks at all, the car is 21 years old so it has a couple of blemishes but it looks great, the dash is in great shape with no cracks, the climate control works, the car drives great and gets great fuel mileage. I have had a few cars with this engine in it with over 250,000 miles. They are super reliable and have plenty of power. At some point someone put a 500SL badge on the trunk in place of the 300SL badge so that is what everyone thinks it is, you can't tell the difference.
As of today the car shows 94,898 miles but I plan on driving it if it gets nice so it may have a few more. It has a clean carfax. If you use the buy it now I will throw in a set of 18" AMG wheels with good tires so you will get two sets of AMG wheels with buy it now Make a reasonable offer. The hard top is included with the car the headliner has started to pull away in a few spots. I will be happy to assist with getting the car loaded for shipping as long as the buyer sets it up I AM RELISTING THE CAR DUE TO A NON-PAYING EBAYER. DO NOT MAKE AN OFFER IF YOU CANNOT BUY THE CAR. READ THE DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION OF THE CAR BEFORE YOU CLICK ANYTHING. |

2017 Aston Marin Lagonda could live on Mercedes M-Class platform
Tue, 29 Oct 2013A few weeks ago, we brought you news from the launch of the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante that the British brand, which is formally known as Aston Martin Lagonda, was still planning on going ahead with a Lagonda-badged crossover. Now comes word that that vehicle could very well be based on a Mercedes-Benz M-Class.
When the first Lagonda Concept debuted at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, it sat on a Mercedes-Benz GL-Class platform, some four years before Aston Martin and Mercedes-AMG deal was inked. And with that partnership, which will see Aston Martin gain access to AMG electrics and "bespoke, V8 powertrains," the opportunities for platform sharing are many.
Dr. Ulrich Bez, the boss of Aston Martin, told the UK's AutoCar, "I look at what Porsche is doing with the 911 as its core business and then it is able to do models like the Cayenne based on the Volkswagen Touareg. It is good business." We've said many times that we'll tolerate exotic CUVs and SUVs if it means keeping the beloved core models alive, which has been the case with Porsche. We see no reason Aston Martin wouldn't be able to do the same.
Mercedes A45 AMG in downhill battle with slipstream skateboarder
Mon, 30 Sep 2013We're told it takes "performance, control and expression" to pilot a longboard skateboard down a mountain road, and that those happen to be the same values embodied in the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG. That's how the two came to be combined in a black-and-white short film called Silver Slipstream.
There's no talking, no engine note and no color, just some music, a 'boarder and a car on a long cruise down the Franschhoek Pass in the Western Cape of South Africa." Despite that, it's actually a pretty entertaining video of the latest Mercedes-Benz hot hatch married with extreme sports. You can watch how it all goes down in the video below.
Firing of M-B boss upheld
Mon, 15 Jul 2013Ernst Lieb, the disgraced former CEO of American operations for Mercedes-Benz, will not be getting any more money from the Silver Arrow'd teat. His wrongful dismissal suit against MB's parent company, Daimler, was tossed out of a German appeals panel. This, followed the initial rejection by a lower court last year.
According to court documents acquired by Automotive News, Lieb was found to have "accepted payments of substantial value to which he - as he was aware - had no claim."
Lieb took over American operations from former CEO Paul Halata in September of 2006. Reports surfaced in October of 2011 that Lieb was dismissed from his posting at MB, with a variety of rumors swirling. Eventually, news broke that financial wrong doing was responsible for the German's firing.
