1980 Mercedes-benz 240d Base Sedan 4-door 2.4l on 2040-cars
La Crescenta, California, United States
A reliable Mercedes 240D. The brakes are strong, all disc. The transmission keeps up with the motor, 4 speed. 4 cylinder motor; naturally aspirated, very dependable. It has a clean title and a good body for its age. Tires have good tread life. The clutch is in good shape. Oil was just changed. Replaced Bosch glow plugs and return fuel lines. New battery. The car has a clear title shown on my pink slip and has no accidents. No smog needed. Average 38 MPG. Including spare brake lines. The car is mechanically in excellent shape. I have additional photos of the interior and exterior if you request. Please accept that this is not a fully restored classic car. It does have rust spots as shown in photos, it is classified as cosmetic rust. I am selling the car because I finished repairing my other car. Available via phone (818) 795-4669 if you have any direct questions or offers. Thank you

First official shot of Mercedes S-Class Coupe leaks out
Mon, 10 Feb 2014With the official debut for the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe expected tomorrow, it shouldn't be a surprise that some clicky fingers have already managed to uncover an official image of the car before the unveiling. Outside of this sole image, though, there's precious little detail on the new car.
First posted by Autofilou and then picked up by WorldCarFans, the production S-Class Coupe isn't far off from the concept car we saw a few months back in Frankfurt. Like the concept, the leggy production model appears related, albeit distantly, to the S-Class Sedan. The hood and front fascia are longer and lower, befitting of a two-door, while the character lines in the profile are more pronounced. Obviously, the beltline and slim, B-pillarless greenhouse are coupe-only items. We can't see any details on the back of the car, although it does appear that the long hood has a correspondingly short rear deck.
We'll have all the details on the official replacement for the CL-Class when it makes its full debut tomorrow. Until then, what do you think of this lone image? Does it appear that Mercedes has got it right? In terms of design, where would you rank this with the departing CL-Class? Have your say in Comments.

2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG rumbles on stage 4Matic style
Mon, 14 Jan 2013Bruce Hornsby and his soothing piano skills helped introduce us to the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, but the monstrous E63 AMG sedan needed no entrance music as it rumbled on stage. The 550-horsepower (and up) sedan sat proudly alongside the rest of the redesigned E-Class on stage at the Detroit Auto Show, but stood miles apart in intention and execution.
In addition to a choice of sedan and wagon body styles, the E63 AMG will also offer buyers the choice of the standard 550 hp or an upgraded 577-hp S-Model; regardless of output, all 2014 E63 AMG models will come standard with the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system.
We already saw the E63 AMG's aggressive styling last week, but now we have a full assortment of live images for you to enjoy as well as the Mercedes-Benz press release, which is also posted below.
