What we have here is a nice driver. The tires have been replaced since we took the pictures last Saturday. They are brand new black walls. This car is a long way from being perfect. The wind caught the trunk lid and bent the sail panel between the trunk and cab. A hammer and dolly should massage it out pretty easy. There is two bubbled up rust places. One is on the drip rail of the trunk, this is the worst. The other is on the top of the fender. There are a few others but these are the most noticeable. The car has sat for a number of years and when we purchased it, it was not running. I removed the gas tank and took it to the local radiator shop to be vated and cleaned out. The tank looked like it is newer than original. It cleaned up real nice. The fuel sending unit is intermittent. The carburetor jets were cleaned and reinstalled. I have driven the car about 100 miles and it runs real good, I would not be afraid to take it on a trip if the brakes were gone thru. The car pulls to the right when you hit the brakes. The pads have a lot of life still left in them. The rear driver side wheel cylinder is leaky. I would recommend replacing all the wheel cylinders and then you are sure of whet you got. The engine runs good and the transmission shifts good.
The underside has a few visible problems. It looks like someone in the past has patched up a few places. The undercoating is heavy in places with signs of rust under it. Look at the pictures and see the oil on the engine and rear end.
The CLOCK is missing. The glove box lock needs a key and to be installed. The trunk key is missing and will not shut properly until the dent is massaged out.
Overall the car preforms well to not be a fully restored car. It is very presentable. The gauges and interior are presentable. The red shows well and the seat covers are nice. The numbers seem to match, however I am no expert and if this is of the upmost importance to you, I will do my best to tell you what you want to know. Better yet, come and look at it. Email me for the address.

Mercedes-AMG teases GT interior, announces fall 2014 debut
Tue, 15 Apr 2014Mercedes-Benz opted to tease the assembled media at its post-New York Auto Show party, showing off a pair of images of the exquisitely crafted interior of the highly anticipated successor of the SLS AMG - the V8-powered Mercedes-AMG GT.
Slated for a debut in the fall at either Paris or Los Angeles (we're betting Paris), you'll note straight away that there's something wrong with this car's name. Where's the "Benz?" Well, it's been ditched to, as Mercedes says, "make the dream of the authentic Mercedes-AMG sports car come true." Sorry Karl.
"The new Mercedes-AMG GT proves that we will be positioning AMG as a dynamic sports car brand even more strongly and aggressively than before," said Tobias Moers, CEO of Mercedes-AMG.
Next Mercedes S-Class stretching into this 600 Pullman limo
Fri, 15 Mar 2013To the concern of nobody in particular, Mercedes-Benz will not be re-upping its Maybach line of ultra-luxury limousines. No, instead the German automaker will be stretching its already roomy S-Class, to make this upcoming 600 Pullman version of the decked-out beast.
The car in our new gallery of spy shots is sporting beefy B-pillars and a massive set of rear doors that should allow perfectly graceful ingress and egress from what is likely to be a palatial rear space. (In one photo we can even see a long-wheelbase S-Class in line with the new Pullman, handily exhibiting the size of the new variant.) The exterior modifications are otherwise obscured, though we can guess at revised front and rear fascia and lighting elements, based on both end being heavily taped for these test runs.
It's a good bet that the Pullman will make use of M-B's twin-turbocharged V12 engine, though sources indicate that a hybrid version might eventually be in the offing, as well.
Mercedes takes VW Westfalia Camper idea upscale with new Marco Polo
Wed, 09 Jul 2014Earlier this year, Mercedes-Benz revealed the new V-Class. Slotting in below the popular Sprinter, the new V-Class replaced both the Viano and Vito upon its debut at the Geneva Motor Show. But Mercedes isn't quite done with it just yet. At the upcoming Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, Germany, Mercedes will reveal the Marco Polo - a versatile, stylish and decidedly contemporary take on the classic camper van.
Named after the famous Italian explorer, the Marco Polo was converted by Westfalia, an outfit which you might more closely associate with classic VW camper vans but which Daimler absorbed over a decade ago. Offering, according to the press release below, "a maximum of opportunities to be independent, free and spontaneous," the Marco Polo sleeps four thanks to the rear bench that electrically folds flat into a bed and the second berth under the pop-top. The flexible interior is decked out like you'd expect a modern Mercedes to be, with ambient LED lighting as well as wood, metal and piano black trim.
It's got an onboard kitchenette with two gas burners, a sink and fridge with a 10 gallons of fresh water and an even bigger waste tank. All that gear is shlepped around by a choice of four-cylinder turbodiesel engines ranging in output from 136 to 190 horsepower. The relatively compact form boasts a turning circle similar to a full-size sedan and a height designed to fit into most garages and car washes. All of which just might make us reconsider the appeal of traveling by camper van.
