The Mazda RX7 was only sold in the US from 1993-1995. The production number was only 13,879 in total, To say the car I have here for sale is rare, would be an understatement, you won’t find one in this condition. This car has 91,192 miles and less than 3,000 on the motor, very well cared for its entire life. It has had only 3 owners since it was new. It has been garage kept & driven sparingly. Maintenance was regularly performed by rotorsports racing and all the recalls were performed by Mazda as well.The car was built by rotorsports racing, one of the best shops on the East Coast. The car was built to hold 420 hp and run a single turbo. The stage 2 engine features new rotor housings, upgraded 2mm apex seals with heavy duty springs, competition oil springs, new oil pump and chain, high pressure oil regulator and improved design high flow main bearings. 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata has arrived
Wed, 03 Sep 2014Ladies and gentlemen, meet the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata. The highly anticipated fourth-generation (ND) model made its official debut in Monterey, CA this evening, and while details are slim (as in, we have practically none), there's one big thing to talk about: less weight.
Yes, Mazda has confirmed that the new Miata sheds some 220 pounds over the model it replaces, and is "the most compact of any generation MX-5 so far." For those keeping track, that means the new MX-5 should weigh in somewhere around 2,200 pounds.
Mazda's Kodo design language is obvious here, with a seriously wide and low demeanor, and a mix of flowing lines and sharp angles. We don't have any powertrain details to report as of this writing, but Mazda says the full suite of Skyactiv technologies are onboard, and the motto in creating this car was "Innovate in order to preserve."

Competitors in the small-car segment didn't do nearly as well. Four vehicles earned "poor" grades.
Only one small car out of 12 tested earned a good grade in the latest round of crash-test results compiled by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The Mini Cooper Countryman received a "good" ranking on the organization's small-front overlap test.
Feds investigating 2010-11 Mazda CX-9 CUVs over braking issues
Mon, 17 Feb 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating 62,000, 2010-2011 Mazda CX-9 models over brake problems. The government safety watchdog says it has received seven complaints of an observed loss of power braking power to stop the crossover, according to the The Detroit News.
The NHTSA complaints say that the problem causes a hard pedal, increased braking effort and reduced braking effectiveness. Some complaints allege that they hear a hissing noise during braking similar to the sound of air leaving the tires. No injuries or crashes have been reported.
"As always, we are fully cooperating with NHTSA on their investigation. We cannot comment further at this time," said Mazda spokesperson Tamara Mlynarczyk to The Detroit News.
