She is in phenomenal condition with zero rust on her (I think I mentioned that already). Everything is stock and un-tampered with. I even have all the original manuals, the sale and feature brochures, the unopened emergency sunroof handle, additional keys (including the original valet key). I also have the original window sticker which shows this car sold for $19,130 in April of 1988 in the state of Oregon where the car spent it's entire life until it landed in Michigan in July of 2010. A clear Michigan title is in hand with no liens. The RX-7 has NEVER seen snow or icy roads... ever! The only signs of wear is a very little bit of sun fading and a couple small nicks and dings. Absolutely a beautiful car under the hood, under the car, inside the car, and overlooking the car! From front to back, side to side, and top to bottom this beauty is a one of a kind! Mazda reveals new 'Game Changers' advertising campaign
Tue, 30 Apr 2013Looking to highlight its unique and sporty mindset, Mazda is getting ready to launch its biggest advertising campaign since "Zoom-Zoom" became its tagline in 2000. The new campaign, entitled "Game Changers," will begin in May, and rather than focusing on its sporty past - like it did with Zoom-Zoom early on - the new ads will look at recent advancements made in building its future, including Skyactiv technologies and its new diesel race program, both of which involve its excellent new Mazda6 sedan.
As a part of the ads, Mazda will showcase game changers from the sporting world, including Dick Fosbury who changed how competitors perform the high jump and Laird Hamilton, who redefined how surfers attacked big waves. It doesn't sound like Zoom-Zoom is going away, but "Game Changers" will definitely feature heavily in the Japanese automaker's marketing moving forward. Mazda6 Skyactiv-D Racecar ready to bring diesel to Grand-Am
Tue, 15 Jan 2013It may not be quite as radical as some of the company's past rotary racers, but the new Mazda6 Skyactiv-D racecar does have a notable powertrain underhood: the automaker's brand-new clean diesel four-cylinder engine.
Three of these new diesel-powered Mazda6 racers will take to the track in the Grand-Am GX class of the upcoming 2013 Rolex 24 at Daytona on January 26, with five drivers on each team. The car you see above, number 70, is sponsored by Mazda's longtime motorsports partner, SpeedSource.

I hate the Toyota Corolla. I'm not talking about the new 2014 model; I can't yet judge a car I haven't driven. I'm referring to the current, old-as-dirt sedan. As an appliance, I get why people buy it, but it represents everything that I, as a car enthusiast, dislike. I don't like looking at it, I don't like sitting in it, and I really don't like driving it. There is absolutely no amount of emotion dialed into any part of the Corolla experience and every other vehicle in the segment is a far better choice. But still, somehow, Toyota sells 'em like hotcakes.
Thankfully, there are a lot of people who agree with me. And for folks like us, companies like Mazda exist. This small Japanese automaker places emotion and driver involvement as its top priorities when creating new products, and mostly - especially in recent years - the end results have been great. The new CX-5 crossover is a doll, to say nothing of the rakish and lovely new Mazda6 that launched earlier this year. And let's not forget the Miata...
