I bought this truck a few years ago as a straight but yellow, faded vehicle.  Two years of restoring has this truck in great shape.  Garage kept since I've had it, paint about three years old.  Has a ding or two here and there.  A few things that's been done:

Previous owner stated original 13B 4 port engine was rebuilt at 80K.  I have no documentation, but truck starts and runs fine hot or cold. Puff of smoke at startup, clears up quick.

New interior, bench seat has rip on driver side.

Carb rebuilt

Clutch rebuilt, 5 speed transmission with 80K miles installed.

All fluids and hoses new, brakes and shocks new on front.

AC underdash unit installed with compressor and condenser, I never completed install.

Rino-liner installed in bed after paint.

All window trim, seals brand new OEM.

Tires little better than 50%

New water pump and associated gaskets.

Keep in mind this isn't a complete restoration, the original wheels were painted by me to look good. Rear bumper painted as welI, has a small dent or two.  This is a rotary engine, if you're not familiar with rotarys this might not be for you. The suspension is original, but truck steers tight and true. I truly love this truck, but have to make room in garage.  Be confident to drive it anywhere.  If you need more pics or info, just ask.

NO TRADES

For some clarity, 'new interior' means new carpet and headliner, dash top in great shape with no cracks.  Bezel has an extra switch installed by previous owner, nothing attached to it.  Also, previous owner cut holes in door panels for speakers.

Clutch slave and master cylinder are new, clutch itself has less than 50 miles on it. It has original flywheel.
Rear window replaced with new sliding-glass type.

Starter and battery wiring all new as well.

Mazda begins building Mazda3 in Mexico for US

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

With fluctuations in international currencies and rising shipping costs to take into account, foreign automakers can't get away with building cars overseas and selling them in North America as easily as they used to. Particularly with inexpensive mainstream models. And given the benefits of cheaper labor and free trade under NAFTA, many have opted to assemble their cars for the North American market in Mexico. That's why the likes of Toyota, Mercedes and BMW have all opened plants in Mexico. And now Mazda has followed suit.
Ground was initially broken for Mazda de Mexico Vehicle Operations at Salamanca in the state of Gunajuato back in 2011, but production has just now gotten under way. The first vehicle to roll off the line? A Mazda3 sedan destined for the United States. Soon, the plant will begin production of the next Mazda2 as well, selling it alongside its larger counterpart across the Americas and in Europe as production expands to 230,000 units annually. For more information, see the official press release below.

Mazda Hazumi concept gets punchy, comes out of its corner early

Mon, 03 Mar 2014

The official images Mazda Hazumi concept, which previews the next-generation Mazda2, have leaked out from Chinese website Auto.sohu.com ahead of its debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
The subcompact, four-door hatchback shows off Mazda's Kodo design language in its smallest size yet. Hazumi means "bound" or "spring up" in Japanese, and it is meant to look like it is packed with energy. It is a very attractive little concept and hopefully points to a more stylish face for the next-generation Mazda2.
Mazda has not unveiled the full details about the concept yet, but in a previous release, it said for the car is using a 1.5-liter Skyactiv-D diesel engine. While Mazda has not officially said that the Hazumi shows the next Mazda2, it did say in its earlier release that it "points the way to the future" for the brand's small cars. Reading between the lines isn't too difficult, then.

Mazda Furai concept designer talks about his car's passing

Tue, 17 Sep 2013

Last week, there was mourning at the Autoblog offices as word trickled in that the Mazda Furai concept - one of the coolest, best-looking showcars to grace an auto show stage since the wild and crazy 1960s -had been killed. It was killed on the track with the folks from Top Gear in attendance. We're sure the gods of driving would have wanted it to die on a circuit, but that doesn't make its fiery passing any easier to deal with.
The Furai is the rare concept car that had a lasting appeal with enthusiasts, partly because it was a real, functioning racecar, complete with a wacky three-rotor Wankel engine and cutting-edge Nagare design. Now that it's gone, though, Road & Track's Mallory McMorrow, who was an intern at Mazda Design when the Furai was being styled in 2007, has published an interview with one of the men who penned the Mazda showcar's striking exterior, Carlos Salaff. It's a great piece on the emotional connection between a designer and his creation, and one you should take the time to read. Click on over to R&T for the full story.
