Selling my 2009 Mazda6 S GT with 95,000 miles on the car. Powerful V6 3.7 liter engine with an auto transmission. This is a rare find since it has all the bells and whistles. Top of the line model. It has a Silver Exterior with a Black leather interior. I am the second owner of the car. The car has been maintained meticulously at the dealership. There are no rips or tears in the leather. The car is a no smoker car. Tires have about 10K miles on it (7-8/32). I have had them balanced recently and alignment was done an year ago. Brakes have about 60% life. The car needs nothing. I installed a remote starter ($400) when I got the car. The sticker price in 2009 was over $30K. VIN#1YVHP82BX95M04042. I have a carfax copy that I will provide ($40 value) showing no accidents. Look at my 100% positive feedback and bid with confidence. Since this is a used car there are some scratches on it. Nothing major but I wanted to be clear to the buyer. The buyer will get a full tank of gas and a professional detail which is included in the price. Save $1000 in taxes from a dealer. Garage kept. I can be reached on Two Two Four-558-326O. Lowballers will be ignored. Thank you for looking.
This is the fully loaded car that includes the following options:
1. Blind Spot Monitoring (Perfect for Changing lanes)
2. Bluetooth (Play music from any Bluetooth device and use it as a hands-free)
3. Bose 6MP3 Changer. This is an upgrade from the regular stereo ($1760 package)
4. Rain sensing wipers
5. Power Memory Seats, Push button start all other power options
Things included with the car:
1. Weathertech Floor Mats for front and rear which I paid $180+ taxes : http://www.weathertech.com/mazda/2009/mazda6/floorliner-digitalfit/
2. Both Keys with two way remote start
Things done on the car:
1. At 85K miles: I got the oil changed, transmission flushed, installed a K&N air filter ($40) which does not need replacing for life
2. At 90K miles: I got the spark plugs replaced
3. Regular Oil Changes every 5K miles

2014 Mazda6 i-Eloop to net 40 mpg hwy, 28 mpg city
Fri, 05 Jul 2013Even before Mazda unveiled the 2014 Mazda6, it had introduced its innovative, non-hybrid i-Eloop (Intelligent Energy Loop) brake regeneration system. This technology converts kinetic energy into usable electricity using the alternator, a DC/DC converter and a capacitor mounted just behind the front fascia. During deceleration, the alternator captures energy that is then stored in the capacitor, which can later be used to directly power electric devices like climate control and audio systems. When i-Eloop power is used, it reduces the load on the engine and helps to conserve fuel.
Now available on the Mazda6, i-Eloop is only available on the $29,695 Grand Touring trim level as a part of the $2,080 GT Technology Package, meaning that buyers desiring i-Eloop will have to spend at least $31,775 (not including destination). The added price of this technology should be worth it for those looking for optimal fuel economy as the i-Eloop, combined with the package's active grille shutters, will bump the sedan's fuel economy numbers up to 28 miles per gallon city and 40 mpg highway - both are improvements of 2 mpg over the standard Mazda6 Grand Touring. The GT Technology Package also includes a Sport mode, lane departure warning, high beam control, radar cruise control and forward obstruction warning - the latter two technologies are currently offered in a $900 package that is being discontinued.
i-Eloop will eventually be offered on other Mazda products including the 2014 Mazda3. Scroll down for the official press release on the Mazda6's fuel-saving i-Eloop technology.
Next Mazda MX-5 Miata to weigh a ton(ne), literally
Wed, 27 Nov 2013Looking at recent spy shots of the fourth-generation Mazda Miata, it's obvious this sporty little roadster will grow in size compared to the current model, but it's also going on a diet. At the Tokyo Motor Show, Auto Motor und Sport sat down with Mazda executive Kiyoshi Fujiwara, who gave a little more insight into the Miata's redesign.
Fujiwara said that they're aiming for a curb weight of a tonne (metric ton), which is 1,000 kilograms or right around 2,200 pounds, for the next-generation Miata. This would make the roadster at least 300 pounds lighter than the current NC Miata, but still about 200 pounds heavier than the original NA.
There is no indication as to how Mazda will go about removing that much weight from the bigger car, but with as popular as the power retractable hard top (PHRT) model is on the current car, the new Miata may ditch this feature to lose its weight. Improving the power-to-weight ratio appears to be a key goal of the Mazda team, so we also wouldn't be surprised to see a more powerful engine underneath the longer hood.
Top Gear recounts the fiery demise of the Mazda Furai
Mon, 02 Dec 2013This past September we reported on Top Gear's destruction of the Mazda Furai, one of the finest concept cars to ever grace an auto show stage. It turns out that the Furai, which was burned nearly beyond recognition at the hands of the British magazine, was actually destroyed back in 2008, and that the entire thing had been covered up for five long years.
Now, a few months after publishing that heart-wrenching composite of a half-baked Furai (shown above), the lads at TG have published their account of just what resulted in a priceless concept car being transformed into a smoking hulk on a Suffolk runway. Click over to read the full story about just what happened, along with pictures of the Furai before, during and after the inferno.
