2007 Mazda 3 Mazdaspeed Hatchback 4-door 2.3l on 2040-cars
Burbank, Illinois, United States
Has 69k miles, engine and transmission work perfect. Put on new shocks
all around 500 miles ago. New front sway bar bushings(a pain to change).
Tires have 80% thread. Brakes were done about 8k miles ago. Interior is
in good shape with regular wear, cleans up nice. Car is not perfect as I bought it Downtown and it was parked on the street most of its life, the body has quite a few scars.
VIN: jm1bk34L471718311 The bad: Body is a little beat up, does not affect drive-ability. Scratched front and rear bumpers. Little bend at end of hood. Right fender has a scrape. Some other dents and scratches. Also some hail dent on the roof. Car still looks good from 5-10 ft away. Front windshield has a crack going through the bottom of window. Needs a tire pressure sensor so light is on. SRS light on, shows code for drivers seat-belt. Could use rear sway-bar bushing soon. Parts only $10 but have not had time, only 4 bolts though. I think that's is all the important things. Car still drives and runs very good and is very fun. |

2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata a knight in white satin
Wed, 19 Nov 2014We're not going to lie to you. The reason you're seeing the fourth-generation Mazda MX-5 Miata on these pages again is solely because this is the first time we're seeing the roadster displayed in a color other than the ruby shade it was first shown in. Okay, okay, so this is the first time the Miata is being displayed at a North American auto show other than SEMA, and we'd say that this is the first time Mazda is showing a US-spec model, but clearly this is a right-hand-drive car. Either way, there's still not much to it yet, especially since Mazda is still withholding power and performance figures.
As expected, the ND Miata, as it is already known among the cognoscenti, will receive a 2.0-liter Skyactiv four-cylinder and the buyer's choice of a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic here in the US. The 1.5-liter model engine that had been linked to the car back in the rumormill stage will not make it to our showrooms.
Preliminary specifications still show the Miata measuring just 154.1 inches in length overall, with an increased track width to 68.1 inches and a low, low overall height of 49.0 inches. Despite the larger-displacement engine and its presumably heavier weight, Mazda is still claiming ideal 50:50 weight distribution and a weight loss of over 220 pounds versus today's NC generation. All of which sounds like the Miata has the right ingredients to make good on its promised Jinba Ittai ("rider and horse as one") driving experience.
Mazda MX-5 Miata to spawn coupe, Mazda6 to get quick successive updates
Thu, 28 Aug 2014
Despite the PRHT's availability, some are still yearning for a proper fixed-head coupe.
We are just days away from the official unveiling of the next-generation 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata on September 3, and it's fair to say that the mouths of enthusiasts are watering in anticipation for the latest version of this iconic roadster. Hard facts about the new droptop aren't easy to find, and in the absence of further disclosure from Mazda officials, the rumormill is in full swing, including word that a long-awaited hardtop coupe model will figure into the new generation's plans.
Mazda begins building Mazda3 in Mexico for US
Tue, 07 Jan 2014With fluctuations in international currencies and rising shipping costs to take into account, foreign automakers can't get away with building cars overseas and selling them in North America as easily as they used to. Particularly with inexpensive mainstream models. And given the benefits of cheaper labor and free trade under NAFTA, many have opted to assemble their cars for the North American market in Mexico. That's why the likes of Toyota, Mercedes and BMW have all opened plants in Mexico. And now Mazda has followed suit.
Ground was initially broken for Mazda de Mexico Vehicle Operations at Salamanca in the state of Gunajuato back in 2011, but production has just now gotten under way. The first vehicle to roll off the line? A Mazda3 sedan destined for the United States. Soon, the plant will begin production of the next Mazda2 as well, selling it alongside its larger counterpart across the Americas and in Europe as production expands to 230,000 units annually. For more information, see the official press release below.
