1993 Mazda Miata
Base Convertible 2-Door 1.6L
Last driven in Feb 2013. Currently non-functioning
(Would have repaired and kept but I inherited a new vehicle and have decided not to keep this one.)
As the 2nd owner, I bought this car in 1996, and for the past 17 years I have enjoyed ownership with the occasional repairs to the brakes( every 3-4 years), radiator( twice), gas tank( original rotted out ), front end tire arms and ball joints, timing belt and water pump( 3 times), battery ( twice). The engine and transmission are original.and working well.
IN NEED OF MINOR RESTORATION
Currently the battery is dead, driver side manual window is non-functional, speedometer is non functioning, it has loose gear shifter, there is rust on the window wipers and lower quarter panels, the airbag needs servicing, there are multiple tiny dings and chips, the rims have brake rust and chips, convertible top has multiple small tears and wear, convertible window is yellowed and the trunk traps moisture.
Other than these issues, the car works well.
Title has a lien listed from the original owner but has been satisfied for the last 17 years(I have the original letter clearing the title)
The vehicle comes with detachable hardtop, spare tire and jack, JVC cd player w/ detachable face, dashboard cover, convertible bib, used miata floor mats, drivers manual, 2 sets of keys, and a car alarm w/ switch
Pickup only.

2016 Mazda CX-3 is a 2 cute ute
Tue, 18 Nov 2014One day removed from our latest round of spy photos, Mazda has finally lifted the veil on its 2016 CX-3 crossover, giving us our very first glimpse at the Mazda2-based entry into the rapidly expanding world of subcompact crossovers.
Mazda's KODO design language is once again on display, presenting some increasingly familiar styling touchstones including a five-point grille that integrates neatly with the front headlights to present an almost protruding snout that's both clean and complex. Like previous KODO designs, the CX-3's profile features swoopy character lines that highlight the wheel arches and a higher beltline. Mazda has cleverly chosen to black out the CX-3's D-pillar in favor of a floating roof look, a design decision that adds to the model's fashionable styling. It's the rear of the design that borrows most heavily from the Mazda2, largely in the shape of the headlights and rear hatch.
Globally, under that fashionable sheetmetal sits Mazda's 2.0-liter Skyactiv four-cylinder that can be mated to a six-speed manual or automatic. Unfortunately, in North America, it looks like we'll only get the automatic. Regardless of gearbox, power can be sent to an optional next-gen all-wheel-drive system that uses the active torque control system found on the Mazda CX-5. Like the Mazda2, front-drive is standard.
2014 Mazda3
Fri, 12 Jul 2013The Cure For The Common Corolla
I hate the Toyota Corolla. I'm not talking about the new 2014 model; I can't yet judge a car I haven't driven. I'm referring to the current, old-as-dirt sedan. As an appliance, I get why people buy it, but it represents everything that I, as a car enthusiast, dislike. I don't like looking at it, I don't like sitting in it, and I really don't like driving it. There is absolutely no amount of emotion dialed into any part of the Corolla experience and every other vehicle in the segment is a far better choice. But still, somehow, Toyota sells 'em like hotcakes.
Thankfully, there are a lot of people who agree with me. And for folks like us, companies like Mazda exist. This small Japanese automaker places emotion and driver involvement as its top priorities when creating new products, and mostly - especially in recent years - the end results have been great. The new CX-5 crossover is a doll, to say nothing of the rakish and lovely new Mazda6 that launched earlier this year. And let's not forget the Miata...
Mazda's awesome Hiroshima museum now navigable by Google Maps
Fri, 15 Mar 2013Visiting an auto museum is one of the best ways we know to connect with car culture and to commune with the past and bone up on one's knowledge. Most of us have a decent museum within a few hours drive of where we live, but that doesn't mean it's easy to see the world's great collections - factors like cost, time and mobility can get in the way. Videos are great, but they don't allow us to browse at our own pace or choose what we'd like to focus on. The folks behind Google Maps have a solution - the virtual museum tour, as seen here at Mazda's fantastic museum in Hiroshima, Japan.
The Google Maps tour allows viewers to take a walk through the main exhibition area of the museum, and you can focus on specific classic cars from Mazda, or check out displays featuring new technologies like Skyactiv. To take a quick spin through the museum - or a leisurely stroll at your own pace - scroll down to start your own virtual tour.
