2005 Anniversary Edition Maserati Spyder - The Most Highly Optioned! on 2040-cars
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States
2005 Anniversary Edition Maserati Spyder The most Highly optioned of this rare special edition. Thanks for looking at
my rare Maserati Anniversary Edition Spyder. As far as I know, this is the most
highly optioned of all the rare Anniversary Special Edition Spyders. This is an exceptional car in excellent condition with only 10,8XX miles. It is number 21 of only 90 produced, finished in stunning Anniversary Blu over blue leather interior, having the original window sticker and factory books. Powered by the Ferrari 4.2L V8 producing 390 HP. I have included a picture of the window sticker- in addition to the long list of standard features of this special edition car, here is a quick list of the extra options equipped from the factory: CD Changer $695 Handy Fire Extinguisher $485 (I still get a kick out of
this) Heat and memory driver seats $720 5 Piece fitted Luggage set $2390 (still in their protective
bags) Radio, Navigation, GPS, and GSM Phone $3985 Park Distance Control $610 Skyhook Suspension $2390 Xenon Headlights $1205 There is also a dealer installed Clear Bra on the nose and exterior mirrors of the car (see pictures) saving the paint from typical stone chips. I am the second owner, we bought this car in March of 2008 with 8,200 miles. It has been great to own, there have not been any repairs necessary, just a battery replacement- I installed a high-end Optima Red Top battery. The engine and clutch have always been flawless, running very smooth and strong. The car has had oil changes with synthetic oil every year. The interior and exterior of the car are great, and all the equipment works well including the power top. Note that other than the new battery, the car is completely stock including the small factory mounted antenna on the trunk. The AC is cold, the Spyder has never been smoked in and never been on a race track. Living in Wisconsin, the car is garage kept in a climate controlled garage, I have only driven in the summer, the car has never seen rain. Clean Carfax. Included in the sale are all books and manuals, 2 keys, original window sticker and radio code cards. The exterior paint is great. No door dings, a few minor stone marks, most in the clear bra material, hard to tell if they actually even penetrated to the underlying paint. The rims are good with no curb rash. The interior is great, the leather is soft and supple. The car has never been in an accident. The car has always run and handled well, and always passed the WI emissions. Info about me: I have been a “car guy” since my teenage years, and have owned many high-end and exotic cars including many Ferrari’s, Porches, Lotus, etc. I think most people would assume that an owner must be wealthy to own such cars, but for me it has been a very low cost hobby. I have always acquired rare, second hand low mileage cars. I have never purchased new. In doing so, I have enjoyed the cars for years, and been able to sell them for very close to the price that I have paid. It has been such a low cost hobby that my wife enjoys it with me! This car will provide the same benefits to the new owner- the value should remain stable or increase. The reason for the sale: I had owned the car a bit less than a year when we found my wife of 25 years was expecting our first child. Upon my daughters arrival, the 3 of us needed a back seat. Now that she is almost 5, I want her to enjoy the hobby we have loved for more than 30 years. Of all the cars I have owned, this has been my favorite and it is being replaced with a newer Maserati Spyder (standard with a back seat!). A word about buying vehicles on EBay: 95% of the cars available on eBay are listed by dealerships. Although dealership listings look good, you do not know the cars history. The dealer has acquired the car in one of two ways- by trade or at auction. Buying directly from an owner provides the best link to accurate information. Note that I have sold several cars on EBay and have over 600 transactions that are 100% positive. I am currently marketing the car locally, and reserve the right to cancel the auction prior to the auction end if it sells. All serious bidders are welcome to view and drive the car prior to the end of the auction, with the understanding that if the car is how I have described it here, I will expect you to bid on the car prior to the auction end. In other words, I do not want to show the car if the current bid price is out of your budget, or if you are just looking. I am happy to answer any questions you may have. My cell is 414-750-5007. A $2,000 deposit by PayPal is due within 24 hours of auction
end, and balance by wire or cashiers check within 7 days of auction end. Please
do not bid if you do not intend or cannot pay for the car. If you have feedback
of less than 3, or negative feedback for non-payment, you must contact me prior
to bidding, or your bid will be automatically canceled. Transportation,
delivery and any fees or costs of licensing the car in your state are the
responsibility of the winner. The car will be released as soon as funds have
cleared. The car is lien free with title in hand. Thanks for looking, and good
luck bidding on this great exotic! |

2014 Maserati Ghibli
Wed, 26 Jun 2013Italy Passionately Returns To The Sport Sedan Game
In its 99-year history, Maserati has arguably never made a vehicle as important as this all-new Ghibli.
Of course, there have been countless styling breakthroughs, mechanical advances and technical innovations, but no single passenger car has been required to bear the weight of the Italian company like its brand-new sport sedan. If the Ghibli succeeds, Maserati will welcome tens of thousands of new customers and, most importantly, celebrate a rekindled relationship with demanding North American buyers. If the Ghibli fails - well, the truth is, nobody has written an option for failure.
Maserati ramping up production of Ghibli, Quattroporte
Thu, 12 Jun 2014While Porsche may be relatively new to the four-door game, Maserati has been building the Quattroporte with few interruptions since 1963. But like its rival from Stuttgart, the Trident marque is rapidly shifting from a sports car company primarily to a manufacturer of high-end family transportation. Not only does it have the new Quattroporte on the market, but now it's got the Ghibli sedan as well and the Levante crossover on its way.
It's a gambit that's reaping huge benefits not only for Maserati itself but also for its newly merged parent company Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, which is finding the mass market less lucrative than it once was and is positioning both Maserati and Alfa Romeo against other luxury marques like BMW, Audi and Porsche. As a result, Maserati is considerably expanding its production.
Last month, Maserati sold over 3,000 cars, putting it on track to double its sales from 2013. But it's not about to stop there. With growing demand for its authentically Italian luxury sedans, Maserati is shifting more workers to its assembly plant in the Turinese suburn of Grugliasco (where the QP and Ghibli are made) and shortening vacation time to ramp production up from 750 cars per week to 900.
Maserati Levante SUV may be built in Italy after all
Thu, 05 Sep 2013In July Fiat halted its investments in Italy, putting on hold plans for the Maserati Levante SUV to be built at the automaker's flagship factory in Turin. But Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne, whose company owns Maserati, met with unions on Wednesday, and he may announce plans to move forward with production of the SUV at the Mirafiori factory if the CEO and the unions reach an agreement, Bloomberg reports.
Marchionne is reportedly about ready to build new cars at Fiat's largest and oldest factory, on the grounds that 5,300 workers accept extended temporary layoffs through most of next year in a slowing European auto market. If unions don't accept the deal, it's not clear whether Fiat would still consider building the Levante at Mirafiori or not.
The Levante, Maserati's first SUV, is based on the Jeep Grand Cherokee platform, and we reported two years ago that it would be built in Detroit next to its Jeep cousin. Obviously those plans have been altered considerably in the intervening period of time.
