This is a beautiful Maserati for sale.  It belongs to a friend of mine who was relocated from Miami to California.  He has asked me to sell the car for him, and that is what I am doing.  He has the free and clear title ready to sign and fedex overnight to any buyer.  I have gone through the car very closely and made some minor repairs and improvements, to get the car in the best sales-ready condition.  It is in great shape.

The body looks outstanding.  The wheels and tires are in good condition. The tires have a good amount of tread on them, and the wheels may not look absolutely showroom new, but they look pretty darned good.

The leather interior is also in great condition.  The photos will show this.  The dashboard buttons do have a bit of stickiness on some of them - a common, small issue with Maserati buttons.  In fact I just had the most commonly used buttons re-done so they do not have that problem anymore.  Most of the sticky buttons are limited to the european in-dash car phone buttons and are not used anyway.

The stereo system is a real gem.  The speakers in front have been replaced with a top model of Focal brand speakers from France that retail for $1,200 just for the one pair!  There is a JL Audio amplifier in the trunk, and a small custom subwoofer on the left side of the trunk in a customized enclosure that hugs the left side of the trunk.  The result is amazingly full sound from the combination of the Focal speakers and the JA Audio amplifier and subwoofer.  The system was revitalized last week with some new cables and has been re-tuned by the audio expert.  I asked him to be sure the subwoofer is not too boomy, but rather provided a full warm sound, and of course, big bass when you play music that demands that.  It sounds incredible.  The CD player works perfectly, and there is an iPhone connector as well as a headphone jack to connect any brand of phone or music player with a headphone jack.

The mechanics of the car are good.  It starts flawlessly and quickly.  The sound is so beautiful and throaty it will make the little hairs on your arms stand up and bring a very nice smile to your face!  The Ferrari manufactured V8 is outstanding.  The car pulls effortlessly in all gears.  It moves very fast when you hit the gas.  The cornering is something that is hard for me to comprehend.  One can take a turn at 40 miles per hour and it simply turns as if it was roller coaster on a track.  No slipping, sliding, or squealing of the tires, it just moves like magic.

I have all of the service records.

This car is a real eye-turner, a joy to drive, and a hell of a good deal.  The combination of low miles, great stereo, and beautiful color make this car an excellent buy!

Maserati adds rear seats to GranTurismo MC Stradale for Geneva

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

More seats inside the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale means the possibility of a wider audience in more ways than one. Currently only available as a two-seater (we don't get the Stradale version, we get the four-seat GranTurismo MC), the addition of back seats will allow twice as many folks inside, and add the car to the purchase lists of those who need to carry more than two souls in their race-derived, 470-horsepower luxury coupes.
Furthermore, the MC Stradale now gets a carbon fiber hood with an air intakes and extractors, 20-inch alloys and new materials inside. It will take the A-lister's spot on the Maserati stand at the Geneva Motor Show, making its world debut alongside the European debut of the new Quattroporte. The press release below can tell you more.

Stirling Moss-crashed 1956 Maserati 450S to be auctioned in Monaco

Sun, 06 Apr 2014

RM Auctions has some very special and expensive Italian sportscars of the 50s and 60s consigned for its auction in Monaco on May 10, but the one that currently carries the highest estimated value at between 4 and 5.5 million euros ($5.5 - $7.5 million) is a 1956 Maserati 450S with some very interesting provenance.
The Maserati started its life as a six-cylinder 350S that Stirling Moss drove in the 1956 Mille Miglia race. Unfortunately, the brakes failed, and it crashed into a tree and nearly into a ravine. Moss and his co-driver weren't injured, but the car was kaputt.
Maserati repaired it and used the chassis as a test mule for its new 5.7-liter V8 racecar called the 450S. It featured an extended wheelbase to fit the larger engine and a new body with a single seat. The racer hit the track again at the hands of Moss and Juan Manuel Fangio in the 1957 Buenos Aires 1000 KM but retired with transmission issues. Later that season, it crashed again at the 1957 Mille Miglia at the hands of driver Jean Behra. After that, the car sat around the workshop until it was sold without an engine in 1965.

Maserati Alfieri Concept draws from the brand's past, looks to its future

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

We may be just as (if not more) used to the idea of Maserati making four-door passenger cars as we are of Porsche or Aston Martin doing the same, but the Trident marque is no less routed in producing sports cars than its German and British rivals. The trouble is that, now seven years on the market, the GranTurismo is Maserati's only two-door model, and it's growing a little long in the tooth to serve as the brand's halo car. Especially when it starts looking back at its history on the occasion of its 100th anniversary. So to mark the milestone, and reconnect with its more sporting past, Maserati has rolled in to Geneva with the concept car you see here.
It's called the Alfieri, and we've been anticipating its unveiling since (if not long before) rumors surfaced last week of its impending arrival, followed by confirmation from the manufacturer and the leaked images we brought you mere hours ago. But now it's been unveiled in the metal.
The Alfieri's wheelbase is 9.5 shorter than the GranTurismo, but packs the same 4.7-liter naturally-aspirated V8.
