This is an unrestored MG TD that has been off the road for many, many years. The odometer reads 69, 145 miles but I do not know if it is correct. There is a 1962/1963 New York State inspection sticker on the windshield, so that may be the last time the car was registered. The current clean title was issued by the state of Ohio in January 2012, so there isn't a paper trail of the car's history. It is car number TD16196 (EXL/NA version) originally fitted with XPAGTD16613 engine and now has engine number XPAG TD15025. The car has been painted numerous times and it appears that the seats have been recovered at least once. Pleae note that the paint is peeling in numerous places especially on the driver's door. It appears that the car was not primed properly during one of the repaints. It is essentially complete only lacking rear side curtains, hub caps, bumper over riders, top fabric (top frame bows are there), air cleaner and various odds and ends. I replaced the radiator hoses, changed the oil, cleaned up the 1 1/2 inch carbs, bypassed the original wiring with a temporary hot lead to the coil, bypassed the fuel tank/pump with a temporary fuel supply and started the engine. It runs with about 40 pounds of oil pressure. I didn't run it very long as the carbs need adjustment and the exhaust exits directly from the manifold and is not dissipated through a long, original muffler system (none present). As such, it is very noisy!!!  I didn't drive it as the tires are at least 35 years old and the brakes need a complete overhaul. The car definitely needs a total restoration and will need typical metal and wood work below and immediately behind the doors. All instruments and gauges are there, but I don't know whether of not they work except for the oil pressure gauge which showed 40 pounds. In summary, this is a practically complete, more or less original TD with a running engine (that is correct for the year but not numbers matching) which could be made into a driver or restored completely. Please call me at 847-830-7193 for further information. Also, I encourage prospective buyers to examine the car in Burlington, Wisconsin. Finally,  I will be driving to Rhinebeck, New York from the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area on May 2 and could deliver the car for a reasonable fee to a destination conveniently located along Interstates 80, 81 and 84.
