This little convertible gem has a new engine, clutch and more. The car presents by itself well though it is marred by some paint (white) damage. The black interior is tidy and the 'hood' is sound. A new rear spring is in order. The tachometer is currently inoperative. This car has "good bones". It has been a joy to mend and drive and will be missed. More photos available upon request. A full list of parts replaced is available. Exact mileage is unavailable as of this writing. I found this car on a u-sell-it lot with a blown engine and a rust free body. An engine was found and I spent the winter rebuilding it. The block has been magna-fluxed and the center oil galley has been enlarged to correct a major shortcoming with the 1500 engine. The head was magna-fluxed when the valves were machined. The engine was assembled with a new oil and water pump as well as clutch and release bearing. The engine starts and runs great with 75 lbs of oil pressure. A new fuel pump, exhaust header, and battery are installed.
I would like to be able to keep this car. But, at 6' and 67 years old, I'm not as agile as one needs to be to fit this little gem. I also have a fleet of MGBs that I'm working on, so it's just one too many MGs at the moment.
