Perfect for Prom Season. Don't wait!!! Selling this limo to make room for a new limo that arrived last week. I purchased this limo you are looking at from a private owner in Lakeland, FL on July 14, 2011. At that point, the limo had 16,658 miles. Since that point, the limo has been great. A runner in our fleet. This 2005 70" Lincoln Town Car Limousine built by Tiffany features leather bench seats, sun roof, fiber optic lighting in bar and ceiling, CD/DVD player and flat screen TV monitor/ Repairs made in the last 12 months: Brakes (front & rear) Intake manifold assembly Transmission Front strut assembly with coils new air compressor for suspension, height sensor, rear air bag, ras module Air suspension was still tempermental, so I replaced rear airbags with rear coil springs. New airbags go with limo. Opera lights inoperable (controls have to be sent to MTG) Keeping white wall tires and replacing with newer black wall tires. Replaced original rims with 2007 Town Car rims (see photo) Limo has normal wear and tear for 9 year old vehicle. Has some body flaws (rust in rockers). Questions, call John at 219-313-5822. |

Consumer Reports explains its disdain for infotainment
Thu, 20 Mar 2014One of the perks of reviewing all manner of cars and trucks is that we're exposed to all the different infotainment systems. Whether Cadillac's CUE, Chrysler's UConnect, BMW's iDrive or MyFord Touch, we sample each and every infotainment system on the market.
Not surprisingly, some are better than others. It seems consumers have come to a similar consensus, with Consumer Reports claiming that Ford and Lincoln, Cadillac and Honda offer the worst user infotainment experiences. Not surprisingly, you won't find much argument among the Autoblog staff.

Automakers tussle over owners of 'orphan' makes
Thu, 10 May 2012When General Motors put down several of its brands in recent years, it also let loose thousands of brand-loyal customers who will eventually need another car.
R.L. Polk Associates estimates there are more than 18 million cars from 16 discontinued makes on the road today. Those "orphan owners" have sales-hungry competitors seeing dollar signs. GM is offering Saturn owners $1,000 cash toward a Chevy Cruze, Cadillac CTS or a GMC Acadia. Ford is giving its Mercury lease customers a chance to get out of their contracts with no early-termination penalty and offering to waive six remaining payments if they drive off in a Ford or Lincoln.
Edmunds.com research shows the efforts are paying off somewhat for GM, with 39 percent of Pontiac owners, 37 percent of Hummer owners and 31 percent of Saturn owners taking delivery of another GM-branded vehicle. But that leaves as much as 69 percent of owners going elsewhere. Ford, Honda and Toyota seem to be attracting many former GM owners.

That's just for the two-wheel-drive Select model, though. Want to drive all four wheels? Better have an extra $3,575 laying around. Snagging the top-of-the-line Reserve model, meanwhile, demands a premium of $7,500.
For those extra bills, you'll net Lincoln Drive Control, complete with continuously controlled dampers, power running boards, Ziricote wood interior trim, upgraded leather, 22-inch wheels, a "unique" interior headliner and, of course, a "Reserve" badge.
