Up for sale is a 1975' Lincoln Continental "Lipstick" Edition. The car has had a Complete tune-up,NEW Tires(less then 200 miles on them), Alternator,Starter,Water pump,Thermostat,Engine flushed using distilled water in the mix to protect from scaling and FORD Grade Anti-Freeze,Front Brake pads,Master Cylinder,Re-Built Carburetor (original Venturi),New Fuel Filter .It has the "Original" 460 ci Engine. I had the Valve spring retainer clips replaced with new heavier grade clips as in the 70's these clips were known to crack and get caught up in the oil pump and restrict Oil flow to the engine. The car has 38,874 Original Miles. All fluids have been replaced with New. Transmission Filter and Fluid changed. 2 new front Low-Beam Light bulbs. Complete Lube Job done also.New Exhaust and Muffler installed. The car still has 85% of the Original Paint as I see the Passenger Quater Panel has been Re-Sprayed. The hood does have a Silver Dollar rust hole on the hood. There also is rust behind the passenger quarter panel, in front of the passenger fender, front driver fender which was a common area for rust on FORD Vehicles in the 70's. the bumpers are in Great condition ! Lights operate as they should . Lights lenses are in Great condition (front and back, No Cracks, even in the Bezels!). Interior is in Great condition as well, No Cracks in the dashboard but is faded. No Cracks in the Door Panels and are in Great shape as well! Driver and Passenger windows work, rear do not and I have New replacement Window Motors to go along with sale. Headliner came undone behind the Passenger seat(Not Ripped) but by time of sale I should have it re-sewed. The Cartier clock works when it wants. It just might need to be air blown on the contacts but again it works when it wants ! The A/C works and needs to be converted to 134.The car is Ford "White" and the interior seats are white Leather inserts with Moondust Lipstick stripes (front and rear), door panels are 2-tone as well! The car does have a Sony Explode sterio system with Sony speakers. The Padded top on the outside is starting to crack ( 2 , 1 inch cracks)and does luster when cleaned up with a wash ! I have explained everything I know about this vehicle in its truest description as best I can and in no way stating this is a trailer queen but a true unmolested Classic. For those who know about 70's Lincoln's, know the True Demand for these Cars ! You can come to view the car with notice, if your a Tire-Kicker.......stay home. 2015 Lincoln Navigator

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

Typically, when I approach a new vehicle launch, it's with a degree of optimism. Nowadays, we just expect that every new vehicle will pose a legitimate challenge to segment leaders. Mid-cycle refreshes, meanwhile, have taken on a greater degree of importance, as customers' preferences for the freshest vehicles remains strong and automakers rush to keep the latest tech in their offerings.
Conversely, I admit to not being terribly optimistic hopping into the 2015 Lincoln Navigator. I was the first person from Autoblog to see the new model in the metal, way back in January ahead of its Chicago Auto Show debut, and my initial reaction was far from positive. But, as I'd been the one that initially tested the new Cadillac Escalade and had just finished a week in the long-wheelbase version of General Motors' most premium SUV, I was a natural candidate to head down to Louisville, KY - home of Navigator production - to sample the brand's latest.
Lincoln's attempt at freshening the old Navigator's bling-bling face is pretty typical of today's more thorough mid-cycle refreshes, with dramatically new front and rear clips. The addition of standard 20-inch wheels or optional 22s - in place of standard 18s and optional 20s - goes a long way towards modernizing the Navigator's staid exterior. The cabin, meanwhile, is home to finer leather, which covers most of the dash as well as the steering wheel and seats. Warm Ziricote wood would prove to be a particular highlight on the top-flight Reserve model that I drove (the only trim available for us to test).

Preposed class-action lawsuit targets 'defective' MyFord Touch

Tue, 16 Jul 2013

A national law firm, Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP, has filed a proposed class action lawsuit whose presupposition is that MyFord Touch is defective. Specifically, the complaint states that the system - as well as the MyLincoln Touch and MyMercury Touch clones - often freeze, fail to respond to voice or touch commands and have issues connecting to mobile phones.
According to Hagens Berman managing partner Steve Berman, MyFord Touch is a theoretically "brilliant idea" that falls short in actual execution. Said Berman in a press release, "In reality, the system is fundamentally flawed, failing to reliably provide functionality, amounting to an inconvenience at best, and a serious safety issue at worst."
Other MFT issues enumerated within the 41-page filing include problems controlling the window defroster, rear-view camera and navigation system. The suit maintains that Ford is aware of the problem but has yet to submit a workable and acceptable solution to MFT customers. Scroll down if you'd like to read the full press release.

Lincoln MKC prototype spied out testing

Wed, 20 Mar 2013

As was the case with the Lincoln MKZ, it appears that Lincoln isn't wasting any time getting its newest model transformed from concept to production form. We just saw the MKC Concept earlier this year at the Detroit Auto Show, and based on these spy shots, it looks like the final touches are being put in place for the 2014 Lincoln MKC crossover.
Sharing its platform with the Ford Escape, we can definitely see some similarities between these two compact crossovers when it comes to the roofline and daylight opening, but through the heavy camouflage, Lincoln's signature split-wing grille can easily be seen and it looks like the concept's taillights will also make it to reality. On the disappointing side, it looks like the integrated exhaust outlets are being ditched for some round outlets, and we can't tell if the production version will keep the Audi-like clamshell rear liftgate.
