1959 LINCOLN BARN FIND. I WOULD SAY ITS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION FOR ITS AGE, NEVER BEEN RESTORED. WE PUT NEW PLUGS AND WIRES IN IT, DISCONNECTED THE FUEL LINE AND RAN A TEMPORARY LINE TO THE FUEL PUMPAND CLEANED THE CARB OUT AND IT FIRED RIGHT UP AND RAN LIKE A CHAMP. WE LIFTED IT UP ON THE LIFT AND PUT IT IN DRIVE AND IT HAD FORWARD AND REVERSE GEARS. WE DIDNT RUN IT MUCH THO SOMEONE HAS STOLEN THE RADIATOR OUT OF IT. THE ENGINR IS A 430 CI WITH 320 HP 465 LBS OF TORQUE. RUNS VERY GOOD AND DOESNT SMOKE. THE BRAKES NEED SOME ATTENTION ALSO THEY ARENT FROZE UP AND THE PEDAL WORKS. THE WINDOW MOTORS ALL WORK AND ITS A FACTORY A/C CAR. ALL THE LIGHTS WORK AS THEY SHOULD EVEN THE DOME LIGHT STILL WORKS. THIS WOULD BE AN AWESOME CAR TO RESTORE AS THEY ONLY MADE A LITTLE OVER 15000 OF THESE . THIS IS A 4 DOOR AND ITS THE PILLARLESS KIND . IT DOESNT HAVE A PILLAR BETWEEN THE FRONT AND REAR DOOR . I BELIEVE THEY ONLY BUILT THIS BODY STYLE FOR 58&59. THE INTERIOR IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE ALSO. THE POWER SEAT MOTOR STILL WORKS. I OWN A HOT ROD AND RESTORATION SHOP AND WILL DO ANY WORK YOU NEED ME TO DO TO IT AFTER YOU BUY IT. WE WOULD RESTORE IT AND SELL IT BUT WE ARE PRETTY COVERED UP RIGHT NOW. I DONT HAVE THE ORIGINAL FRONT WHEELS. ANY MORE QUESTION CALL OR TEXT ME 573-330-2912 KEN.........ALSO IM NOT IN NEED OF MONEY SO PLEASE DONT TXT ME AND TRY TO LOWBALL ME. Lincoln poised to double MKZ Hybrid production

Thu, 18 Jul 2013

The Lincoln MKZ Hybrid has been something of a hit for Ford since the beginning, exceeding the company's modest projected 15-percent take rate for more than two years (we say "modest" because that still means an overwhelming majority of Lincoln customers are passing up on the gas-electric powertrain even though it costs the same as the standard model). Either way, Lincoln builds 700 MKZ Hybrids at its plant in Mexico each month, but has sold 715 of them in each of the past three months. That's why, according to a report in The Detroit News, when the restyled 2014 MKZ Hybrid arrives (non-hybrid pictured), Ford is doubling production compared to 2013. Instead of the hybrid model being 20 percent of production, the new hybrid will make up 40 percent.
Ford is doing well with hybrids in general - its portion of the electrified vehicle segment jumping 12 points in a single year to 16 percent. Assuming Ford doesn't change the pricing strategy (along with the changes Ford is making to calibration to improve fuel economy), the sedan could continue to "[show] other luxury hybrids how it's done" when it goes on sale later this year.

2015 Lincoln MKC priced from $33,995* [w/poll]

Mon, 16 Dec 2013

Looking to build on the momentum it struggled to establish with the MKZ, Lincoln recently unveiled the production version of its all-new MKC last month at the LA Auto Show. With a proven platform shared with the Ford Escape and striking design, the 2015 Lincoln MKC goes on sale next summer ready to take on the ever-expanding world of luxury compact crossovers. Breaking into this new segment, Lincoln has priced the MKC aggressively as one of the least-expensive offerings in its class, starting at $33,995 (*including destination charges).
At that price, the 2015 MKC costs a little bit more than a fully loaded 2014 Ford Escape Titanium and is just slightly less costly than the Acura RDX and Volvo XC60. More importantly, it's thousands less than Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Mercedes GLK-Class. The MKC will be offered in three trim levels for now - there is still no more information about Lincoln's new Black Label products - ranging from the base Premiere up to the range-topping Reserve.
The Premiere will come standard with features like active grille shutters, push-button start, remote start, dual-zone climate control and heated front seats, while the midgrade Select starts at $37,225 and adds upgraded 18-inch wheels, ambient lighting, daytime running lights and a steering wheel featuring Wollsdorf leather. The top-shelf Reserve trim level starts at $40,930 and brings even more luxury features including the panoramic roof, navigation, cooled front seats and wifi access.

Lincoln reveals MKC compact crossover ahead of LA debut [w/video]

Wed, 13 Nov 2013

It used to be that if you wanted a luxury SUV, you had to go big. Just look at the first high-riders released by some of the major luxury automakers - Audi Q7, Cadillac Escalade, Lexus LX - and you'll see what we mean. But since 2009 the small premium crossover segment has grown a whopping 200 percent, so it's no surprise that each has followed up with smaller luxury crossovers. And this is the latest.
At the other end of the utility spectrum from the Navigator, the new Lincoln MKC is based on the Ford Escape (much as the old pseudo-premium Mercury Mariner was), but completely rebodied and luxed up to put it in another league. Although we're still not sold on Lincoln's family fascia, the grille treatment on the MKC is certainly one of the better variations on the theme to date. The Dart-like rear lights dominate the wrap-around tailgate, and the overall shape looks taut and upscale. The same can be said of the dynamically-designed interior, taking the concept revealed in Detroit earlier this year to production fairly seamlessly.
Power will come from a choice of EcoBoost four-cylinder engines with turbocharging and direct injection: a 2.0-liter with 240 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, or a slightly punchier new 2.3-liter with 275 hp and 300 lb-ft. Lincoln didn't disclose what transmission they'll be mated to, but did note that the MKC carries the brand's "signature" push-button gear shifter. It comes standard in front drive, but buyers who upgrade to all-wheel drive (or tick the right box) will also benefit from a new adaptive suspension Lincoln calls Continuously Controlled Damping. Other features include an approach-detection system that lights the car up and projects a Lincoln "welcome mat" on the pavement when you get close to the car, and a "bread-crumbing" feature that lets you track where your vehicle has been.
