2000 Lincoln Continental, BIG SOLID STEEL CAR.
Triton V8 engine, they don't make them like this anymore, White with silver color leather interior. There is some of damage to certain interior components, like the cup holders are broken, the console piece comes off, the power seat on the driver side doesn't work.. The transmission was JUST rebuilt, we brought it home and it sat in our driveway for 3 months, then finally now the car doesn't start at all. Yes there is gas, yes there is power, but it feels like it might have bad spark plugs or something else. The engine cranks but doesn't start. Probably something simple, as I said I would guess its one of the plugs or fuel pump (which I highly doubt). This was my dad's car, I know he maintained his car very well, however he bought a new car, and this car is preventing me from parking my car in the garage at this point. Car is SOLD AS IS. If you can fix it in my driveway without making a mess and within a small amount of time, then fine, other wise you must arrange the vehicle to be transported upon purchase. Ford announces free brake pad offer if customers stop by dealers
Mon, 04 Aug 2014These days, when you buy a new car, it's not unreasonable to expect a certain period of free maintenance to come along as well. Sometimes this is through the life of the warranty, in other cases a little less. But Ford Motor Company is going beyond those deals for at least one part of its cars. As of now, if you buy a set of Motorcraft brake pads for a Ford, Lincoln or Mercury model, you get free replacements for as long as you own the vehicle. The offer is good at Ford or Lincoln dealers and Quick Lane Tire & Auto Centers.
"We will replace the pads for as long as you own the vehicle," said Elizabeth Weigandt to Autoblog. She did clarify that the Motorcraft pads are generally for models from the '90s or newer. Also, to take advantage of this program, a person must return to the same dealer each time to get the free parts.
Of course, Ford isn't just handing out brake pads to anyone who walks by; there are certain stipulations. First, the components have to be worn down to less than three millimeters to be eligible, and the buyer still has to pay for the labor to install them. If the model is used as a fleet vehicle for commercial purposes like as a taxi or limousine, this offer also doesn't apply; the same thing for racecars. On the plus side, if you recently bought a set of pads from one of the participating locations, you're still in luck. The deal covers parts purchased as of July 1.

No Germans, no turtles, no aliens nor alpacas this time, just a 30-second run through the ways in which Lincoln sees the 2013 MKZ as a rebirth of the brand and everything a luxury consumer would want.

Mon, 13 Oct 2014You would think that commercial being ridiculed across the Internet would be an advertising executive's worst nightmare, but that's not necessarily the case. At least not when it comes to Lincoln and its latest campaign to promote the new MKC.
The campaign features Matthew McConaughey channeling his characters from True Detective and The Lincoln Lawyer, and was quickly spoofed by both Conan O'Brien and Ellen DeGeneres. But instead of shaking their heads in dismay at the comedy talk-show hosts' take on their ad, Lincoln and its advertising firm Hudson Rouge welcome the free publicity.
"We're flattered. Just to get out into the public mind with parodies says you've achieved a certain amount of notoriety," Hudson Rouge CCO Jon Pearce told Automotive News. "It's hard to put a dollar amount on earned media. We couldn't ask for better."
