Up for your consideration is a Lincoln Continental.  This is my daily driver/sales car.  It gets up to 350 miles a day so millage will change.

The not perfect:
Now and then a code for tq converter switch (has done for the past 40k miles)
Dash lights sometimes comes on
Interior lights don't always work
The car will shutter a little bit under very light acceleration (tq converter switch - has done it for 40k, actually is getting less and less noticeable)
Some minor dings and two rust spots
Sometimes the factory Alpine 6 disk doesn't read disks (needs cleaned)

The good:
PA inspected
VERY VERY STRONG RUNNER
Looks very classy/sexy
Hasn't let me down (I drive A LOT)
Rides great
Handles great
Super cold AC
Super hot heat
Air suspension works great
Ride control
Stereo sounds fantastic
Super comfortable
Sunroof/windows/locks all work perfect
Was told when I bought it that it has remote start but I never put new batteries in the fob so haven't tried it
Many new parts!
Performance oriented luxury
Clients love it!
Safe and fun to drive
Performance exhaust (2.5" Tails, just one resonator after the y pipe) SOUNDS SO GOOD!

Options:  All Continentals are totally loaded.  The only two options you could get is the Alpine stereo and sun roof.  This car has both.

Performance:  This car has the 32v 4.6 motor.  Same long block as the SVT Cobras.
From Motor Trend:
  • 4,601 cc 4.6 liters V 8 front transverse engine with 90.2 mm bore, 90 mm stroke, 9.9 compression ratio, light alloy block, light alloy head, double overhead cam and four valves per cylinder
  • Fuel consumption: EPA urban (mpg): 17 and country/highway (mpg): 25
  • Fuel economy EPA highway (mpg): 25 and EPA city (mpg): 17
  • Multi-point injection fuel system
  • 20 gallon fuel tank
  • Heavy duty alternator
  • Heavy duty battery
  • Power: 205 kW , 275 HP @ 5,750 rpm; 275 ft lb , 373 Nm @ 4,750 rpm

  • At the end of the day this is a great looking great performing car.  It does have almost 150k so yes, it does have noises, bumps and isn't perfect.  But I drive it 100-350 miles a day. It runs great, stops and moves great.  Its sexy transportation.  Please don't buy it and get mad that you heard a noise driving over a bump.  Or that a light came on the dash.  Its old but cool!  It gets you from point a to b quickly with the COLD AC and or HOT heat.  Buy this and enjoy it!

Here is a clip of what the exhaust sounds like:

Lincoln reveals MKC compact crossover ahead of LA debut [w/video]

    Wed, 13 Nov 2013

It used to be that if you wanted a luxury SUV, you had to go big. Just look at the first high-riders released by some of the major luxury automakers - Audi Q7, Cadillac Escalade, Lexus LX - and you'll see what we mean. But since 2009 the small premium crossover segment has grown a whopping 200 percent, so it's no surprise that each has followed up with smaller luxury crossovers. And this is the latest.
At the other end of the utility spectrum from the Navigator, the new Lincoln MKC is based on the Ford Escape (much as the old pseudo-premium Mercury Mariner was), but completely rebodied and luxed up to put it in another league. Although we're still not sold on Lincoln's family fascia, the grille treatment on the MKC is certainly one of the better variations on the theme to date. The Dart-like rear lights dominate the wrap-around tailgate, and the overall shape looks taut and upscale. The same can be said of the dynamically-designed interior, taking the concept revealed in Detroit earlier this year to production fairly seamlessly.
Power will come from a choice of EcoBoost four-cylinder engines with turbocharging and direct injection: a 2.0-liter with 240 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, or a slightly punchier new 2.3-liter with 275 hp and 300 lb-ft. Lincoln didn't disclose what transmission they'll be mated to, but did note that the MKC carries the brand's "signature" push-button gear shifter. It comes standard in front drive, but buyers who upgrade to all-wheel drive (or tick the right box) will also benefit from a new adaptive suspension Lincoln calls Continuously Controlled Damping. Other features include an approach-detection system that lights the car up and projects a Lincoln "welcome mat" on the pavement when you get close to the car, and a "bread-crumbing" feature that lets you track where your vehicle has been.

Report: Lincoln getting all of Mercury's ad dollars

    Mon, 03 Jan 2011

Now that the curtain has closed on Mercury, Ford Motor Company will redirect all of its marketing dollars for the oft-overlooked brand to the Blue Oval's luxury outpost, Lincoln. In speaking to Automotive News, the chairman of the Lincoln National Dealer Council, Bob Tasca, Jr., said, "You'll see a lot stronger presence in the advertising of Lincoln in 2011."
Lincoln spokesperson Christian Bokich reminded AN that the automaker is "preparing the way for seven new or significantly refreshed vehicles" that will be launched over the next four years, and the largest ad blitz in 2011 will focus on the refreshed MKX crossover, as well as the MKZ sedan and its hybrid counterpart. Following that, Lincoln has plans to launch a completely overhauled version of its Navigator SUV, an all-new C-segment vehicle and the overhauled 2013 MKZ, which Tasca says will be "strikingly different from its Ford Fusion sibling."

Lincoln video teases new things to come... but what?

    Sun, 02 Dec 2012

Lincoln has released a new video teasing... something. In what looks to be an advertisement for more advertising, the company has worked up a clip featuring everything from a drum solo and a flying hawk to Abraham Lincoln himself. The video shows a few shots of what looks to be an MKZ and promises more news is coming on Monday.
What does the company have up its sleeves? Rumors are bouncing around the web like so many ill-informed ping-pong balls, and cover everything from an alternative powertrain for the MKZ to a new two-door model - noise that is underscored by the presence of a Ford Mustang chassis lurking in the background of the video around the 27-second mark (see screen capture above).
Could Lincoln be considering a rear-wheel drive luxury coupe built on the pony's bones? A move like that seems awfully unlikely, but it certainly wouldn't hurt our feelings. Either way, we'll find out more tomorrow. In the interim, check out the teaser video below for yourself.
