This is a nice driver quality older car. I purchased it last spring and really like the car. Unfortunately, indoor storage is limited and I do not want to let this car sit out this winter. A good friend of mine knows the previous 2 owners of this car and has some first hand knowledge of what was done. This is much of the reason I purchased the car. Engine & transmision were rebuilt a few years back, and have very few miles on them. Car runs strong, shifts smooth and solid as it should. I do NOT have reciepts on these rebuilds. Has been repainted, but I am not sure when. Car has been stored inside ever since being painted, so age is hard to tell. Still bright and shiney. Sharp looking car. I call it red, but it is a dark red, looks burgandy at night. Has some minor paint chips and such, and I did see one small door ding. Car is driven. Tires are few years old with very few miles on them. Brakes were completely gone through last May with calipers wheel cylinders master cylinder and such. (have reciept) Interior is in decent shape. It is a black interior, but the seats have been replaced with dark blue seats. I did not even notice at first, but in the sun it is obvious. They are the correct seats for the car and are in good shape. Door panels all look pretty good. Windows seem to work when they want. Today 3 went down fine, one needed help, and 2 needed help up. I have a couple of extra window motors that I got with the car, not sure if they are good, but they go with it. Air conditioning belt has been removed, don't know anything about that. Slight exhaust leak, noticable at idle, not really when driving. Carpets have been replaced. Dash has some big cracks, but aftermarket cover on it looks OK. Headliner has a few holes, but is in place and not sagging or coming apart. New battery in May.

Has aftermarket Stereo system that is not too bad, see photos.

This car gets looks and compliments everywhere I go. A great car to jump in and have fun.

Odometer shows 51,000, but I'm guessing it has gone over once.

Clean and Clear Oregon Title in my name.

I've tried to be as clear and honest as I can on this car. Feel free to email with any questions.

This is a USED car. Will be sold 100% as-is. Buyer is responsible for picking up or making shipping arrangements. I will help as much as possible.

$500 Paypal Deposit due within 48 hours of auction end. Payment in full within 7 days via Wire transfer Postal Money Orders or Cash in hand on pickup. Pickup of car should be within 30 days. Car will be stored outdoors.

There are some water spots in these photos as I did a quick was job with well water just before photos. Paint is not spotted

1955 Lincoln Indianapolis concept up for auction

Sat, 21 Sep 2013

Lincoln was never a brand known for making sports cars. In fact it hasn't offered anything with less than four doors since the demise of the Mark VIII, and that was hardly what you'd call "performance oriented". But that doesn't mean that Ford's luxury marque never toyed with the idea.
In 1955 Ford delivered a Lincoln chassis (along with a 200-horsepower V8 engine and four-speed automatic transmission) to Carrozzeria Boano, an Italian coachbuilder that had just branched off from Ghia the year before. The resulting orange coupe you see here was named after Indianapolis and was unveiled at the Turin Motor Show. And while its detailing may have been divisive, the overall shape certainly caught the eye.

Lincoln MKC spied in final form

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

When the Lincoln MKC Concept debuted back in January, it received fairly positive feedback from both Autoblog editors and readers alike, and this bodes well for the production version of the luxury crossover judging by these latest spy shots. Reader Ivan Lo captured a few pictures of some MKC prototypes driving around with minimal camouflage, which gives us our best look yet at the design of this new Escape-based Lincoln.
Based on the spy shots from back in May, we already knew that the production MKC would sport some real door handles, a little side cladding and bigger door mirrors, but these latest shots also show us that the rear quarter windows have been enlarged and the integrated dual exhaust outlets have been replaced by round pipes. This means that the MKC will retain the concept's narrow headlights and what is arguably Lincoln's best execution of its split-wing grille. Even better, the rear view confirms the stylish horizontal taillights will remain intact, as well as the Audi-like wraparound liftgate. Since the entire taillight assembly rises along with the liftgate, redundant lights were also added into the rear fascia.
Unfortunately, the low angle of these spy shots leaves us without a view of the interior, but based on its looks alone, the MKC is shaping up to be a promising vehicle for a brand that so badly needs some fresh metal.

Ellen DeGeneres sends up Matthew McConaughey's Lincoln ad

Mon, 29 Sep 2014

Lincoln had to have known that when it released its new ad campaign for the new MKC with Matthew McConaughey, it would open itself up to a bit of good old fashioned ridicule. The television commercial was, after all, good for a laugh or two. And true to their mission, talk show hosts haven't missed the opportunity to have a little fun at Lincoln's and McConaughey's expense.
Conan O'Brien was first to send up the television spot, but now Ellen DeGeneres has taken a stab at it too, superimposing herself in the back seat of the compact luxury crossover, downing some pot brownies and generally playing Costello to McConaughey's Abbott. It's worth a watch, if only to see Ellen getting down in her usual, offbeat style.
