This car is truly a collector's dream, with the body existing in great condition with very minor repair needed to the Wimbledon White paint shown. All chrome is intact and in good condition with very few minor dings or light scratches present. All glass is intact and in fantastic condition. Automatic windows, mirrors and seats. Interior is in need of new upholstery, with seats intact and ready for recovering. Headliner is original and, while still attached, will need to be either repaired or replaced depending on the new buyer's preference. 430 V8 320 horse power motor runs, though the car does not currently drive as the gas tank has been pulled and flushed, with the original braking system still in place. Ignition will need to be reset as well as factory/after market radio installed in dash. Vehicle includes factory AC option. Door panels all intact and in good condition with very minor scuffs that should buff out without a problem; front driver's side electric window needs replacing. All four original spoke chrome hubcaps are intact, stored inside of the vehicle for safe keeping due to their increasing value and a potential for sticky fingers. This has been a California & Arizona car for the life of the vehicle, stored in dry private lot. Smoke free car. We have grown rather tired of people knocking on the door inquiring as to whether or not the vehicle is for sale. Priced to sell! Ford hybrid sales rebound following MPG controversy
Sun, 31 Aug 2014Ford hybrid customers apparently have very short memories. With two EPA fuel economy reratings in the last year, sales of the C-Max, Fusion Hybrid and Lincoln MKZ haven't been too terribly dented, Ward's Auto reports.
All three vehicles saw sales dips following the August 2013 rerating, although sales of the MKZ Hybrid had begun to rebound as early as November of that year. C-Max sales, meanwhile, took slightly longer, with sales on a steadily improving course as early as February of this year.
The second rerating, in June of this year, has had an even smaller effect on the Blue Oval's hybrids. The C-Max has actually been subject to a sales increase, while both the MKZ and Fusion saw minor sales drops (less than 400 units between the two in the month following the rerating).
Lincoln prepping MKZ re-launch?

Case in point is the 2013 Lincoln MKZ, introduced with the fanfare of a major nationwide marketing campaign, including expensive Super Bowl ads, just as Ford was curbing production over potential quality issues. The resulting mess was nothing short of a nightmare for any automaker - customers visiting dealerships looking for cars that hadn't been delivered yet. Disappointed buyers walked out of Lincoln retailers without new keys in their hands, or switched to a competing brand to fill empty spaces in their driveways.
The impact was painful, as Lincoln's sales in January and February of this year were among the lowest it has recorded in more than a quarter century. Even though March looked a bit brighter, with the supply crisis reportedly over (there are 3,000 units in transit and production is approaching 200 units per day) the automaker is reportedly studying the feasibility of giving its pivotal MKZ the launch it originally deserved.
According to TheDetroitBureau.com, putting the MKZ back on consumer's radar could cost Ford tens of millions of dollars, but that kind of investment may be warranted if potential buyers have forgotten about the new model... or worse, if they have forgotten about Lincoln.
Lincoln debuts MKC ads starring Matthew McConaughey
Fri, 05 Sep 2014Lincoln is making the decisive commitment that it wants to improve its brand perception going forward. It can't be cheap to hire A-list talent like Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey and director Nicolas Winding Refn, best known for Drive, for its new ad campaign for the 2015 MKC crossover, but the company is showing that it's serious about the new vehicle and its future. The first three of these five commercials are just hitting YouTube, and they begin airing on television on September 6.
The Live in Your Moment campaign is all about Lincoln trying to sell not just the MKC to customers but also explain the brand's philosophy. It's one of the oldest luxury automakers around, but hasn't exactly had a glorious history, especially recently. Based on these first ads, we can see that there's a definite focus on philosophizing rather than focusing on the crossover. At times, McConaughey seems just a mustache and a mangled beer can away from reprising his role from True Detective.
The first ad (above) is simply titled Intro and sets the mood and concept for the whole campaign. Bull has McConaughey talking to a longhorn in the middle of a road, and I Just Like It has him explaining his affinity for the brand.
