2004 - Lexus Rx on 2040-cars
Tarpon Springs, Florida, United States
Heavily optioned car. Roughly $10,000 in options including the Mark Levinson sound system, Premium “Plus” package, and DVD rear seat entertainment. Clean title in my name in my hand. Short auction listing because I may just trade it in this weekend. (954)288-6772 Options include: Navigation Rear backup camera Mark Levinson sound with upgraded 11-speaker surround sound and 6-disc changer DVD rear-seat entertainment system with wireless Lexus headphones, remote control, AUX jack, and 115V household outlet (AC) Leather Electric steering wheel in wood and leather Memory seats Roof rails Power rear door High intensity discharge (HID) lights (Xenon) Heated front seats Rain sensing wipers Chrome 18” wheels Standard features: Electric front seats Reclining rear seats Rear seat ventilation Power windows, locks, and doors Cruise control Sunroof / moonroof Lexus floor mats Lexus rear cargo mat Automatic headlights (954)288-6772 Car is in exceptional condition for its age. No accidents or stories. Three keys and all the books. Rear storage shade is even still there. Can’t think of anything missing. Yes, everything works including the A/C, which is ice cold. Interior is nearly flawless. Exterior has typical road chips and very small dings/scratches. Nothing significant or very noticeable from a few feet away. These cars are prone to dash cracks and this particular car has a brand new dash replaced by Lexus. It was bought and serviced at a Florida Lexus dealer. The car was certified by Lexus when the initial warranty expired, so no service issues were ever ignored as the car has been under warranty for most of its life. Florida car its whole life. Zero rust. Why am I selling? I tried the SUV thing for a while and it just isn’t me. I want to go back to a sedan. Plus my wife has an Acura MDX, so we have the SUV if we need it. Nothing wrong with the car. Don’t need to sell and I already have an offer from Carmax, so I know what my floor is. (954)288-6772 I drive the car to work every day, so mileage will vary. Car is in Doral area during the weekdays and in Weston during nights and weekends.

Mazda and Lexus crowned with KBB 5-Year Cost To Own awards
Tue, 12 Feb 2013We report on a lot of awards, some of which are given out based on more solid criteria than others. This one, the Kelley Blue Book 5-Year Cost to Own awards, seems like one that new car shoppers should pay attention to.
The cost of a car goes far beyond what you pay for the actual metal, leather and rubber at the point of purchase. Fuel, insurance, maintenance and repair costs, and the cost of fees from the state and financing will all weigh on your wallet while you own the car. That's not even taking into account the biggest cost: depreciation, or the amount of money you lose based on what your car is worth years from now versus the day you bought it.
KBB tracks these sorts of things, and they've compiled a list of winners for 2013 models. On the brand level, Mazda and Lexus earn the 5-Year Cost to Own award for having the lowest overall projected five-year totals (though, curiously, we note that Mazda and Lexus each had only one segment winner). There are lots of winners for all the various segments, so we'll just pick out a few surprising ones to share and you can view the rest here.
What's in a trademark? Sometimes, the next iconic car name
Thu, 07 Aug 2014
The United States Patent and Trademark Office is a treasure trove for auto enthusiasts, especially those who double as conspiracy theorists.
Why has Toyota applied to trademark "Supra," the name of one of its legendary sports cars, even though it hasn't sold one in the United States in 16 years? Why would General Motors continue to register "Chevelle" long after one of the most famous American muscle cars hit the end of the road? And what could Chrysler possibly do with the rights to "313," the area code for Detroit?
MT digs deep, learns more about hot Lexus RC coupe
Mon, 12 Aug 2013As we patiently wait for the all-new Lexus RC to be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in November, Motor Trend has dug up some tasty info on the Japanese automaker's new coupe for us to discuss. While we already knew some speculative, but credible, details on the upcoming two-door Lexus, MT reportedly has the dish on some details of the hotter RC F coupe (shown in the spy shots above).
The article says that the F will carry a six-figure MSRP and use a 455-horsepower, 5.0-liter V8 with cylinder deactivation, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Carbon fiber body components will help reduce curb weight, and the scooped hood is said to optimize aerodynamics as the car will reach a top speed of around 186 miles per hour. Specific high-speed handling improvements include specially developed Brembo brakes, a beefed-up suspension, Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires and an automatic decklid spoiler.
As for other RC models, MT mentions the hybrid and V6 variants we already heard about, but it also says that the car could get a 2.0-liter turbo engine. This will probably be the engine used in the base model, which is expected to start at around $40,000. Head on over to Motor Trend for the full article, including a rendered image of the RC F.
