2007 Lexus Is250 Base Sedan 4-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
Athens, Ohio, United States
I used AutoCheck which was provided to me by LEXUS DEALER. Car as described above is accurate especially no dents and no rust with 70% tread on original wide wheels that came on car from manufacturer. Car is safe, roomy, and when desired; has performance especially with six speed transmission; otherswise, you may place car in drive in console and not use anything except normal automatic transmission or move console shift left to left and move rpm up 600 rpm and car is tighter and amount of fuel consumption does not change unless you drive too fast. GPS is excellent because it has safety features that prevent you from playing with all the computer programs while car is in gear. There are approximatley twenty (2) functions on the menu or montor that allows you manually to set your maintenance schedules as opposed to a dealer because car is not under warranty due to age although again, it does look like new. Sunroof is nice and provides natural light while car glass has very light tint so you may see visibily well which is much safer. I keep the car clean and washed with a local detailer. Nobody drives the driver except me as I am retired and near 60 years of age. As you read, the only reason for selling the car is to help pay the 20 percent of cost of prosthesis for inevitable left leg amputation which was noncontributory. Otherwise, this car is a keeper without doubt. It is my second LEXUS and my first was a 1987 two door couple that was sold to a client. He still has automobile after buying it in 1997.

Lexus hints at possible IS SportCross comeback [w/poll]
Thu, 10 Jan 2013We're looking forward to seeing the 2014 Lexus IS in person next week at the Detroit Auto Show to see if its brazen design is any less polarizing in person, but Lexus (or at least its Facebook team) has dropped a not-too-subtle hint about the possible return of the SportCross body style - something in between a hatchback and station wagon. The current generation IS comes in sedan and convertible models, but this is an interesting teaser that might suggest an expanded IS lineup.
On its Facebook page, Lexus said:
Do you remember the '02 IS 300 Sport Cross with its style, utility and performance? Will we bring it back? Watch the 2014 IS premiere on Facebook in 6 days to find out!
2014 Lexus IS gets TRD bits
Mon, 20 May 2013Toyota Racing Development (TRD) in Japan has designed cosmetic and performance bits that give the 2014 Lexus IS a front-to-back workover. Different from the F-Sport parts we expect from Lexus here, the full body kit runs 437,700 yen ($4,285 US) and starts with air deflectors at the lower edges of the front bumper, through to side skirts, a decklid spoiler and a rear bumper with a diffuser and quad exhaust tips.
For 288,750 yen ($2,830) you can sharpen responses with new shocks, springs, dampers, sway bar and bracing. The priciest individual component is the set of 19-inch wheels, four of them going for 527,625 yen (5,170 US). There's no word on US importation or pricing yet, but done up all in black like the IS above, we wouldn't mind seeing it here.
Lexus RC F is a predatory sport coupe with a 450-horsepower beating heart
Tue, 14 Jan 2014Take a look at that face. We can't be the only ones who see an automotive Predator staring back, right? Certainly, the Lexus RC F Coupe boasts a visually striking design that some are going to love and others are going to hate, but we can at least appreciate that it's aggressive, especially compared to the standard RC Coupe that we saw at the Tokyo Motor Show. And with good reason - there's a 5.0-liter V8 engine sitting under that massively domed hood with "more than 450 horsepower," along with a newly calibrated eight-speed automatic gearbox.
Interestingly, Lexus has tuned the RC F's engine to run on an Atkinson cycle under most circumstances, while it switches to the more typical Otto cycle when more power is required, presumably using some sort of advanced variable valve timing technology. Helping put that power to the ground with all those ponies wreaking havoc underhood is a torque vectoring differential, a first from Lexus.
Also involved in keeping the RC F planted is an aero package that includes wings and ducts galore. The headline bit is an active rear wing that deploys at 50 miles per hour and retracts back into the deck when the car drops back to 25 mph. A clear-coated carbon fiber roof can optionally join that carbon rear wing. There are apparently going to be three 19-inch wheel options, including the ones you see in our live image gallery above.
