1 owner Lexus IS300. This car as only 26000 miles and looks brand new inside and out. This is an adult owned garaged vehicle that is the cleanest IS300 as you will find. Car comes with original tires and wheels and is currently equipped with Volk (Rays Engineering) SF Challenge Wheels and Ray's Engineering lug nuts which all together are worth 4k alone. This car also has a custom Swift Racing Technology cold air intake with piggy back ECU that does not give a check engine light as most others do. Also included is a HKS Limited titanium catback exhaust (this exhaust has a low rumble and is not one of the loud annoying ones). The sound system includes original German made MB Quart Refference Series speakers (which are no longer available). I have personally changed the oil in this car since the first check-up at Lexus and it has has Halvoline full synthetic in it since new The car has a scratch on the right front lower fender and a very small dent in the hoo that could be removed by paintless dent repair . Krafcik says US Gov. shutdown is slowing Oct. auto sales
Tue, 15 Oct 2013The government shutdown is eroding consumer confidence in the auto market, says John Krafcik, CEO of Hyundai's US sales unit, and could lower October sales by as much as 10 percent, Automotive News reports. "It's that anxiety that keeps customers, potential buyers, on the sidelines when making a big purchase like an automobile," Krafcik says, adding that industry sales could be off by five to 10 percent in October compared to September.
The fourth quarter, which started October 1, usually consists of increased auto sales as dealerships clear their lots to make room for the next year's models. Leading up to the fourth quarter this year, the auto industry was doing well in the fragile, recovering US economy, although September deliveries decreased by 4.2 percent, due in part to this year's Labor Day sales being recorded for August.
To help its customers, Hyundai announced it is deferring new-car loan and lease payments for furloughed federal workers until they're called back to work and also offering them a three-month payment deferral if they buy a new Hyundai in October. "We have already had requests from over a thousand people to have their payments deferred," Krafcik says.
2015 Lexus RC 300h is a hardcore hybrid cherry coupe
Wed, 20 Nov 2013Lexus is tag-teaming back into the hardcore coupe ring with this, the red rum RC 300h that's jumping off the top rope to "[inject] emotional appeal into the Lexus DNA." It's the hybrid version of the twin, powered by a 2.5-liter V6 aided by a 105-kW electric motor, the pair putting out 217 total horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque through a continuously variable transmission. The RC's other, more conventional half will come with a 3.5-liter V6 with 314 hp and 380 lb-ft shifted with an eight-speed sequential transmission.
The brand doesn't want you to take this RC Coupe for a two-door version of the IS. It's based on the GS platform but its dimensions are unique, being wider, lower and shorter in wheelbase than the IS. Concept-car headlights flank the most extreme version of the spindle grille yet seen on a production car, and the lighting novelty continuing in the cabin with illumination that is aimed up instead of down. The package will ride on either 18- or 19-inch wheels.
The "high contrast," dual-zone cabin is graced with shimamoku wood and Lexus' Remote Touch Interface, and Lexus says the seats have been conceived via an "integrated foaming construction method" like racing seats - we think they look spectacular stitched up in this carmel-colored leather.
