2002 Lexus IS 300 Sedan I've owned the car since late 2007. Low miles for a 2002. It's been a great car mechanically. Very smooth and quiet. Title is clear - no issues! The only reason I'm selling is because I just purchased a Lexus IS 350. The front brake pads were replaced, rotors were turned, and CV Axle was replaced at 87k miles ($410). The timing belt and water pump were replaced last year ($800). I replaced the rear tires at 98k miles ($443) and the front tires at 91k miles ($326). I also recently had it detailed inside and out so it looks very sharp! The oil was changed recently and I always had the oil changed when recommended. I had the whole car painted around 3-4 years ago and I had the hood re-painted around 2 years ago. As far as any negatives, just recently the AC compressor went out so the AC isn't currently working. The "Check Engine" light has been for several years but safe to drive. I had the Toyota dealership (no Lexus dealership locally) look at it and it's caused by a a fuel code sensor for something called a "charcoal canister." I was told it was safe to drive and I've never had a problem with the car in how it drives. I did have the trunk replaced in 2010 after a car ran into the back of another car which then hit my car. It was professionally replaced and painted by a body shop locally - you can't even tell it was in an accident. For being 12 years old, it has typical scratches and door dings but nothing major. Lexus LF-NX Concept takes aim at the small crossover herd [w/video]
Tue, 10 Sep 2013Lexus is drawing crowds with its sharply styled LF-NX Concept, a car that previews a competitor for the likes of the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLK (also debuting at Frankfurt) and Audi Q3. We previewed the LF-NX last week, but we've since gotten a bit of in-person time with the compact crossover on the Frankfurt show floor.
There's a lot of show-car tinsel here, but the makings of a production model are fairly visible. That trademark Lexus face, with the separate headlight and running light arrays and an even more extreme version of the "spindle" grille, is present and accounted for. The styling is sliced and carved, like the Lexus IS, although it's difficult to tell if the production model will be quite so extreme in its looks. We'll bet yes.

Lexus ES350 confirmed for Kentucky production starting in 2015
Fri, 19 Apr 2013Following Thursday's report, Toyota has confirmed that production of the Lexus ES will move to its Georgetown, KY assembly plant starting in 2015. To accommodate the extra 50,000 units of capacity that the ES represents, Toyota will be investing $360 million in the plant and hiring 750 new workers.
In the previous report, sources stated that the state of Kentucky had offered Toyota as much as $146.5 million to move ES production to the Georgetown facility.
The press release, posted below, specifies that only the ES350 will be built in Kentucky, so it's likely that the ES300h hybrid will continue to be built in Japan - where all ES models have been built since the car was introduced in 1989. Toyota's Georgetown plant, which currently builds the Toyota Camry, will also be getting an expansion to its engine plant to produce more four-cylinder engines at a cost of $30 million and will create an additional 80 jobs.
2015 Lexus NX starts at $34,480*
Thu, 16 Oct 2014Lexus has announced pricing for the 2015 NX crossover lineup, which goes on sale next month.
The NX 200t starts at $34,480, and the all-wheel-drive model adds a $1,400 premium to lift the sticker to $35,880 (*destination charges of $925 are not included in the prices). The 200t uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making 235 horsepower, and it's Lexus' first-ever gasoline-fed turbo.
The hybrid version, the 300h, starts at $39,720, and all-wheel drive tacks on $1,590 for a price of $41,310. The hybrid teams a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with an electric motor to generate 194 hp. Though power dips, Lexus anticipates this version will get a combined 33 miles per gallon with front-wheel drive when the EPA ratings are announced - a considerable leap when compared with the combined 24-mpg estimate for the turbo model.
