For Auction is my 2003 Land Rover Discovery SE. I am selling because I just bought a new Truck. This Rover is upgraded as follows; New replacement motor from Land Rover Portland 68k miles ago (over 6k)due to faulty oil pump under factory warranty. So the new motor only has 68k miles and the odometerhas 120k. It has 2-1/2" suspension lift with BFG AT Tires all 5 with alot of tread, upgraded driveshaft, Zenon lights, Tow pkg with trailer wiring, Magna-Flow exhaust, Harmon Kardon audio, Navigation, Heated seats, Moon Roofs, Rear ladder. Just NYS Inspected last week. Great color combo! Black exterior over a black leather interior. Synthetic oil changes regularly. It does have some minor scuffs and normal wear for it age and she does leave a drip once in a while on the driveway like all rovers do. I welcome test drives and inspections prior to bids and/or offers. I'd keep it but no room in the driveway. I have 2keys and owners manual as well as the original window sticker at $41,325. Thanks, miles may vary some for everyday driving or local test drives.

Jaguar and Land Rover to consolidate dealerships
Thu, 29 Nov 2012Jaguar and Land Rover are set to merge their sales facilities, according to Inside Line. Jaguar Land Rover North America President Andy Gross says 45 percent of Jaguar owners also have an SUV in their stable, so it makes sense to give customers as much exposure to the cat's high-riding cousins and possible. The number of overall outlets will remain the same, and the brands will reportedly remain separate on the showroom floor, however.
So far, just one dealer has made the move to combine under the roof of one 68,000 square-foot facility in Paramus, New Jersey (above), though a further 20 are ready to make the shift and become Jaguar Land Rover outlets. Gross believes the shift is necessary so that his company's dealer network will accurately reflect the company's products. We'll see how cozy the brands are when Jaguar starts rolling out its own SUVs in a few years.
Going high-tech, the 4x4 way
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Is It An Off-Road Adventure Or Just A Walk In The Park?
I remember having to get out and lock hubs and shift into neutral to engage low range.
Coming off press previews of the 2013 Land Rover Range Rover and the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee that involved some heavy-duty off-road rock climbing, I'm simply amazed at the capabilities that these vehicles possess. But even more impressive (or troubling depending on your perspective) is the relative ease with which you can operate these vehicles in seemingly impossible terrain.
Tata to get Jaguar and Land Rover tech, platforms too?
Tue, 22 Jul 2014Since buying Jaguar Land Rover, Indian automaker Tata has generally left its luxury arm's platforms and technology alone. However, those days might be gone. The two of them are gradually growing closer with coordinated development and rumors of shared platforms. And it looks like all of that work and money is finally going to pay off with an actual vehicle in the near future.
According to Australian website Drive, Tata wants to make its cars more attractive to buyers outside of India, and to do that the company knows it must improve quality. The Indian company is being careful, though, because it doesn't want to dilute the Jaguar or Land Rover brands with cheap models. "You're going to see in the future a lot of sharing of technologies and platforms over time, but you won't see a JLR with a Tata badge on it," said Darren Bowler, managing director of Tata's Australian distributor, to Drive.
According to Bowler, these future vehicles are already on the way. Tata and JLR have a global platform in the works for 2017 that both companies could use for cars or crossovers. He also hinted that Jaguar's new Ingenium engines could be shared among the brands in the future, too.
