THE BODY IS ATTACHED TO THE FRAME. IT NEEDS TO BE PAINTED.( HE WANTED IT RED)THE CAR HAS A ENGINE THAT WAS REBUILT BY HUGHS ENGINES! THE CAR IS A FIVE SPEED, IT HAS TILT CRUISE AND AIR. IT WAS LAST STARTED ABOUT 10 MONTHS AGO WHEN IT WENT INTO STORAGE AWAITING FINAL OUT-COME OF THE DIVORCE! IT HAS A NEW WINDSHIELD, IT HAS A LOT OF PARTS NEW STILL IN THE BOXES.THE WHEELS AND TIRES PICTURED WITH THE CAR ARE BRAND NEW REAL LAMBORGHINI WHEELS AND THE TIRES STILL HAVE THE NEEDLES ON THEM. I ALSO HAVE THE CENTER CAPS TOO. WE COULD HAVE TAKEN A CRUISE FOR A WEEK FOR WHAT WE PAID FOR THE WHEELS AND TIRES. OVER 5K!! I HAVE THE RECIEPTS! THE WINDSHIELD WAS $1200.00! IT HAS LEATHER SEATS AND SOME GLASS FOR THE DOORS. THE DOORS AND THE LID ON THE BACK WITH THE WING ARE JUST PROPPED TO SHOW WHAT IT WILL LOOK LIKE. I HAVE THE HINGES FOR THE DOORS, AND THE BACK LID. THERE ARE BOXES OF OTHER PARTS THAT ARE NOT PICTURED. I BELIEVE EVERYTHING IS THERE TO FINISH THE CAR. GUYS, THIS WILL MAKE SOMEONE A REAL HEAD TURNER AND PROBABLY THE ONLY ONE IN YOUR TOWN.THERE IS A BIG CAN OF RED DUPONT PAINT THAT HE WAS GOING TO HAVE THE CAR PAINTED WITH ALSO. The Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster left me stupefied. Despite my experience with countless other high-powered exotics on a variety of racing circuits, including nearly all of its Gallardo siblings, the all-wheel-drive, 700-horsepower flagship dropped my jaw to the ground.
Less than 24 hours earlier, I had been sitting on an airplane at 39,000 feet studying press releases about the Italian automaker's newest range-topping convertible. While everything looked spectacular on paper, I was genuinely concerned that its new cylinder deactivation system and open-roof configuration would spoil some of the fun - soften its personality, to be more specific.
1963 Lamborghini 350 GTV still looks fresh on Pebble's Concept Lawn
Sun, 18 Aug 2013We already brought you a gallery of Lamborghini's latest rockstar, the Veneno, from it's vaunted spot on the lawns of The Quail here in Monterey. Apparently the Italian brand didn't want the Pebble Beach crowds to feel left out, so it brought the supercar along to the Concept Lawn here as well. Not to miss out on the classics action Lamborghini has matched the Veneno with the car that started everything for the company: the original 1963 350 GTV prototype.
With 50 years separating the Veneno from the debut of the hip 350 GTV at the Turin Motor Show, Lamborghini cheekily mentions that it has stuffed "100 years of innovation in half the time." We'll leave the judgments of historical significance in the capable hands of the Pebble judges, but will agree that the original Lamborghini still looks amazingly hot, decades after its reveal. Apparently the classic 350 GTV doesn't travel a whole lot either, so we're happy to have a chance to lay eyes on it here.
Lamborghini, Bentley recalling models with carbon-ceramic brakes
Wed, 30 Oct 2013An issue involving carbon-ceramic brakes has prompted Lamborghini and Bentley to recall certain models so equipped. The problem, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, revolves around the stainless steel screws that secure the brake rotors, which are prone to corrosion when exposed to salty conditions.
The recall affects 2007-2009 Lamborghini Gallardo coupes and Spyders, 2006-2010 Murcielago coupes and Roadsters and 2007-2011 Bentley Continental GTs, GTCs and Flying Spurs. All in all, some 1,136 vehicles are subject to the recall in the United States, including 263 Gallardos, 404 Murcielagos and 469 Continentals. The fix seems simple enough, with local Lamborghini and Bentley dealers replacing the problematic screws with new ones. The recall follows two notices recently issued for Audis as well.
