2004 Kia Optima (114,000 Mi) Comes With Auto-start & Block Heater! on 2040-cars
Webster, Minnesota, United States
Hi There! :) Just a few examples of some of the work that has been done to it, it's had 2 new sets of tires, new spark plugs, a brand new block heater installed, new CV shafts installed, frequent tire rotations, oil changes, as well as other regular maintenance and other necessary repairs required upon reaching certain mileage. You will be able to see the receipts for all repairs/maintenance upon request if you are interested and would like to meet with me and check the car out/take it for a test drive. This Kia has under 115,000 miles on it, and has never been in an accident or fender bender since I have been the owner, AND when I purchased it from the dealership, it came with a clean Carfax report and title. Again, this car is in very good condition given its age, and would be perfect for a younger/new driver looking for a great first car. Plus, with winters in MN...we all know how nice it feels to get into a warm car without having to bundle up and go start it in the morning when it's 20 below. It can be started with a push of the remote up to a half mile away- very convenient for Winters here!!!! Comes with a spare set of keys, clean title, and peace of mind in knowing what you are getting for your money, at the time of purchase. Honest and transparent buyers only please! :) * This vehicle conforms to all applicable U.S.A. Federal motor vehicle safter, bumper, and theft prevention standards in effect on the date of manufacture (2004). Feel free to use the information about this car to look up Kelly Bluebook prices/comparisons. This is a GOOD price for this car. If you live somewhere within the Twin Cities/Metro area, I am more than happy to meet you somewhere in order to shorten the commute, just contact me and further arrangements can be made :) Prefer to sell to someone in MN, as the vehicle is equipped for Winters here! Thanks!!! |

2014 Kia Soul
Tue, 03 Sep 2013Rounding Out The Market's Best Box
As a car critic, you can tell a lot about a new car just by looking at a map. That's because more often than not, the geography of where a vehicle is initially launched will tell you a surprising amount about how the automaker feels about its new baby. Manufacturers want their models to be shown in the best light - dynamically and socially - so they put a lot of thought into where they first let members of the media slip behind the wheel. Luxury cars nestle up closely to swank hotels in the globe's trendiest locales, high-performance cars are let loose on breathtaking mountain roads with adjacent racetracks, and so on. It all makes for a tough life, as you can imagine.
So consider it telling that when Kia first launched the Soul way back in 2009, it did so in Miami. Trendy? Check. Billiard-table level, arrow-straight smooth roads? Frequently snarled with traffic? Check and check. You see, good as it was, the original Soul wasn't a particularly thrilling driver. Competent, sure, but its simplistic suspension, modest power and upright dimensions didn't exactly afford it entertaining driving dynamics. Which is exactly why Kia launched it in an environment utterly devoid of potholes and curves (save those conjured by the area's robust plastic surgery community), instead choosing a city loaded down with pedestrians and slow-moving motorists.
2014 Kia Cadenza
Wed, 19 Mar 2014Teenage passengers are often among the first people I turn to for second opinions about a test vehicle. While they understandably aren't allowed behind the wheel - most aren't even old enough to drive - their honest and generally unbiased observations, coupled with a complete lack of understanding about what a particular vehicle costs, can provide a wealth of insight.
An open-minded approach is especially important when taking a closer look at the 2014 Kia Cadenza, a premium sedan from an automaker best known for providing affordable transportation for entry-level buyers. But unlike the Rio and Forte, low-priced compacts designed to cater to consumers looking for fuel economy and value, this more substantial four-door sedan asks for twice the out-of-pocket investment in exchange for promises of luxury and technology.
With an impartial mindset and a genuine curiosity, I recently spent a week with the more substantial Cadenza to see if it could live up to its aspirations.
Kia K900 confirmed for LA Auto Show debut
Mon, 28 Oct 2013Although there has been plenty of news about the Kia K9/Quoris over the past year and a half, we've yet to hear anything from Kia regarding the US fate of its flagship, rear-wheel-drive sedan. That changes today, however, as Kia has confirmed the recent rumor that the car would be renamed K900 for the US market, and that the luxurious sedan would debut next month at the LA Auto Show and go on sale next year.
Along with the announcement, Kia also released its first image of the US-spec K900, and, not surprisingly, this profile shot is identical to what we've seen in images for the Korean-market K9 and globally named Quoris (click above to enlarge). Unlike the closely related Hyundai Equus, the Kia K900 will offer customers the option of V6 or V8 engines, but it will be fitted with just as many luxurious amenities as its Hyundai counterpart.
We'll probably have to wait until closer to the K900's on-sale date for any official word on pricing, but last we heard, it will be priced between $50,000 and $70,000 - a significant step up from the current top-drawer model, the Kia Cadenza. Scroll down for the brief press release, and check back in a few weeks for live coverage of this car's debut.
