You are looking at a 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon, VIN# 1J4HA6H1XBL547479. I am the original owner, bought and purchased on my birthday, July 30th 2011.

This is the history; I bought this beautiful Jeep July 30th 2011 at Charlie’s Jeep, in Augusta, Maine. When I purchased it, I intended to take it with me, when my work transferred me to the Bahamas. Well, my work DIDN’T transfer me to the Bahamas, but instead, to a remote island in the South Pacific Ocean. So, shortly after I bought this beauty, I was transferred out of the United States and could not take the Jeep with me; it had about 9000 miles on it when I left Maine. I left the Jeep with my elderly parents, Dad (72), Mom (63) and allowed them to maintain it and drive it for me, so it wouldn’t just sit.

Before I left it, I added a Jeep fuel gas tank cover, Jeep bug and stone deflector, Jeep step protectors, and Weathertech floor liners throughout. My dad maintained the vehicle while I was away, and when I came home to visit I drove it. The windshield cracked in the first winter in Maine, 2011 to 2012. My dad put in the same OEM windshield as a replacement, and then the next winter, the new windshield got a chip, which I had repaired. This last winter, 2013 to 2014, my mom got caught in some slush and ice and ended up off the roadway with the Jeep, at slow speed into an icy snow embankment. That caused some scratches on the front bumper, and some small warping of the front bumper (see pictures). Other than the bumper, there was no damage to the Jeep.

New tires were added at about 43,000 miles, Hankook Dynapro AT m’s which were recently rotated. The spare is a Firestone Destination AT, which is what I thought I originally wanted for all the tires, but changed my mind after I purchased one tire, hence the only Firestone on the Jeep is the spare. The Jeep has been serviced regularly every 5000 to 6500 miles with synthetic oil, which includes needed maintenance, such as air filters, fluids, etc. Last maintenance service, the tech informed me the rear differential is getting a bit dirty, but didn’t need changing yet, just something to keep an eye on….

The Jeep is fully loaded, hence the Rubicon, with options that include:

·        Navigation, MP3, CD, 7 Speaker Infinity Sound, 6.5 inch touch-screen

·        115 v power outlet

·        Heated Seats

·        Freedom 3 piece hard top

·        Trailer tow Class II hitch

·        Fuel, differential, transmission skid plates

·        Bluetooth

·        Hands free talk

·        Hard top and soft top

·        Front and rear differential lockers

·        Sway bar disconnects

·        4:10 gears

·        Sirius radio

·        Downhill assist

·        Leather

·        Remote start

·        Dana 44 front and rear axles

·        Rock Rails

·        There are a few more extras, not listed, but the entire package with options brings the MSRP for the Jeep to 39,445. (See Picture) I do have the soft top, which has never been put on the Jeep, however, I DO NOT HAVE THE SIDE AND BACK PLASTIC WINDOW. Those are located with my personal effects, which are still in transit from the island. If you pay shipping, I will send the plastic windows to you via mail if they are not in Montana by the time you pick up the Jeep.

As you can see it has it all, and I have included a picture of the original window sticker listing options, so you can view in more detail.

The Jeep has been cleaned inside and out, and is ready to go. You can see by the pictures, it has some scratches and scuffs from normal wear and tear, most notably the bumper from the snow embankment and driver side entry where my father would catch his foot getting in the Jeep because it was a bit tough for him, so the paint is scuffed. The Jeep has been down some light trails for fishing, but nothing serious. My parents are NOT off roaders! The floor mats have some dirt stains from being in Maine during the winters in the salt, sand and mud. Those stains are not from anything serious!

Even though the Jeep is a “No Reserve”, I still owe some money on it. However, the amount I owe is very far less than the worth, so it is not an issue.

Payment and Terms: When you win the bids, you must send me a non-refundable 500 dollar deposit within 48 hours of auction close. This will ensure you complete the Ebay contracted binding sale, which will be applied to the cost of the Jeep. If you fail to make arrangements with me for final payment, the 500 dollar deposit will NOT be refunded to cover the contract breach, so I can re-post the Jeep again and Ebay will be notified. All paperwork will be routed to you through express mail, and you can expect final title about 2 weeks after final payment is completed. However, if you want to pick up the Jeep before the title is released; I will be more than happy to put a transit tag on the Jeep to any destination you desire.

Shipping: I do not ship, that will be the buyer’s responsibility, however, I will pick you up at the closest airport, free of charge with your new Jeep, (Kalispell, MT). If you wish to ship the Jeep, I will work with any shipper you send to pick up the vehicle with advance notice and release of responsibility.

Be advised, the Jeep is still a regular driver, so the mileage is a little bit more then shown, approximately 55, 300 now. When the auction completes, the Jeep will NOT be driven anymore!

If you have any questions, concerns, please email me, and I will get back to you as quickly as I can.

THE JEEP IS ALSO LISTED FOR SALE LOCALLY, SO I DO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION EARLY!!!! Please do not ask me how much I owe, or what is my asking price on Ebay, but I will consider any reasonable offers.

Thank you for reading and Happy Bidding!

Jeepster name may be used for Fiat-based baby Jeep

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

In 1948, Willys-Overland, the forbearers of Jeep, built a vehicle called the Jeepster. It was a funky little thing, designed as a mix of the more rugged Jeeps that came before with what was then a modern car, which arguably makes it the world's first crossover. The name was later revived from 1966 to 1972, which means for Jeep enthusiasts, it has some history.
Now, the modern Jeep brand may revive the Jeepster name for a new product, likely based on Fiat bones, that will slot in at the bottom of the brand's range underneath the soon-to-depart Compass and Patriot. The report comes from Australia's Drive, which cites a dealer source that has seen the vehicle.
That same dealer confirmed there is a link between the Jeepster and the rumored Fiat 500X, and that the former will be available in both front and all-wheel-drive variants. The source also claims both gas and diesel engines will be available, although as this is an Aussie site, we shouldn't take that to mean we'll get a diesel Jeepster in the US.

2014 Jeep Cherokee

The Cherokee Is Dead. Long Live The Cherokee.
There are three sentences that, for this reviewer, define what needs to be conveyed about the 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The first: it is very good.
Jeep spent 27 years building the Cherokee and its brand, from 1974 to 2001. Twelve years ago, the Cherokee nameplate rolled away into the distant hills and retirement, at least here in the NAFTA colonies, and it was replaced by a loaded word we knew as "Liberty."

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT

Jeep's Super 'Ute Is Fun Thrown In The Face Of Conventional Wisdom
Let's talk asses for a moment. What do they have to do with the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, you ask?
Well, we're here to tell you that this SRT can haul some. Lots of them, as a matter of fact: Jeep has increased the towing capacity of its most powerful SUV to 7,200 pounds. Assuming the average donkey weighs about 400 pounds, the Grand Cherokee SRT can haul ass to the tune of 18 burros, give or take a covered trailer or so, which is significantly more than it could in previous years. In 2013, the machine could manage 5,000 pounds, while the first generation was rated at just 3,500. The increase is mostly attributable to a new eight-speed automatic transmission and beefier rear axle, and it's a welcome update for those who'd like to use their SUV as, well, an SUV with an emphasis on utility.
