hello

i ordered this jk direct from the factory. its is as close to perfect as i can imagine. i am a single nonsmoking 46 year old man-no kids-ie very very clean-very anal.
never wrecked-no fender benders-no dings-SPOTLESS.
jeep is always garage kept-always kept clean as factory new inside and out.
i do not eat inside-have never taken the top off-never been off road-i dont even drive in dirt.
i use it mainly to get to and from work a couple times a week-otherwise i drive my motorcycle.
the carpet and carpet floor mats have never seen shoe bottoms or dirt-protected by weather tech laser cut floor mats front and back.
I've had a passenger a handful of times-otherwise always been just me.
the lift/tires/wheels/entire build has approx 3k miles on it-i have all receipts.
this is $45k build stands flawless and is as clean as the day i received from factory-no disappointments-very impressive looking.

Jeep mulling power top for next Wrangler

Fri, 07 Mar 2014

Jeep is hard at work on the next-generation Wrangler, though the truck is still a few years from hitting the trails. The new model will still be aimed at off-roaders, but rumors suggest it will be a little more comfortable than previous versions to appeal to more people.
According to Road and Track, Jeep is developing a power-retractable top as an expensive option for the Wrangler. There is no word if the top in question is a sliding canvas rollback like the ones found on many European vehicles or a full convertible hardtop or softtop, nor do we know whether it would be made available on two- or four-door models. It might be a nice feature for some buyers but would certainly add complexity to a truck already known for its ruggedness. We asked Jeep for confirmation, but Jeep spokesperson Todd Goyer could only remind us that the company "can't comment about future products."
In news that is likely to irk the faithful, R&T reports the next model may also ditch its folding windshield for improved safety and possibly even get rid of its rear-mounted, full-size spare tire. The new Wrangler won't go completely soft, though, and will reportedly still feature removable doors and solid axles.

NHTSA still mulling crash tests for recalled Jeeps

Thu, 15 Aug 2013

Well, no one should ever accuse the government of not giving things plenty of thought. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is still debating whether it will retest any of the 1.56 million 1992 to 1998 Grand Cherokees and 2002 to 2007 Libertys that were part of a recall regarding fires after rear-end collisions. And yes, this debate has been going on for over a month. In other news...
The recall dustup started in early June, when Chrysler took the unusual position of refusing a recall request from NHTSA regarding placement of the fuel tank on the effected vehicles. NHTSA said a collision could cause a fire, a position Chrysler took issue with. Extensive negotiations ensued, with Chrysler agreeing to fit certain Jeeps with trailer hitches, which it said would provide some protection to fuel tanks mounted behind the rear axle in the event of a collision.
Part of the issue rests with the amount of data that needs to be processed, according to The Detroit News. NHTSA administrator David Strickland said during a Washington Auto Press Association meeting, "There's a lot of data and Chrysler is being very cooperative in giving us more data." Until that information has been sorted, it looks like re-testing will still be up for debate.

2014 Jeep Cherokee

Thu, 19 Sep 2013

The Cherokee Is Dead. Long Live The Cherokee.
There are three sentences that, for this reviewer, define what needs to be conveyed about the 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The first: it is very good.
Jeep spent 27 years building the Cherokee and its brand, from 1974 to 2001. Twelve years ago, the Cherokee nameplate rolled away into the distant hills and retirement, at least here in the NAFTA colonies, and it was replaced by a loaded word we knew as "Liberty."
