THIS JEEP IS IN BETTER THAN AVERAGE CONDITION I HAVE PERFORMED ALL THE MODIFICATIONS PERSONALLY JUST BEFORE I PUT THE JEEP AWAY FOR THE WINTER SO THERE IS VERY LITTLE MILEAGE ON THE COMPONENTS.  THE FRAME HAS SURFACE RUST BUT NO HOLES, THERE IS NO ROT ON THE BODY.

I PERMANENTLY WELDED THE LIFT SPACER FOR THE TRANSFER CASE PAN AS SOME OF THE CAPTIVE NUTS FOR THE PAN WERE ROTTED OUT WHICH IS TYPICAL OF JEEPS.  THE REPAIR WAS AS FOLLOWS:
I WELDED NEW CAPTIVE NUTS ON THE SPACER SO THE PAN COULD BE REMOVED, I USED A HOLE SAW TO REMOVE ALL THE CAPTIVE NUTS, I CLEANED AND USED POR TO COAT THE FRAME.  WHEN I  REMOVED THE CAPTIVE NUTS THERE WAS NOT ADDITIONAL DAMAGE TO THE FRAME.

WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT THE JEEP I WAS CHASING AN EVAP PROBLEM WHICH AGAIN IS A TYPICAL PROBLEM FOR JEEPS I TRACED THE PROBLEM TO THE RETURN VAPOR LINE WHICH WAS LEAKING, I FIXED IT WITH A VACUUM LINE BUT I HAVE A NEW FACTORY LINE WHICH WILL COME WITH THE JEEP.

THE REAR GATE HINGES NEED TO BE REPLACED, I HAVE A REPLACEMENT SET WHICH I WILL SUPPLY PAINTED.

I HAVE DONE MY BEST TO DESCRIBE THE JEEP,  IF YOU HAVE ANY SPECIFIC QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK AS ALL SALES ARE FINAL,  I HAVE THE JEEP ADVERTISED LOCALLY SO I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION AT ANY TIME.

A $500 NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF AUCTION END VIA PAYPAL, THE BALANCE IS DUE WITHIN 7 DAYS BY BANK CHECK.

2014 Jeep Cherokee uncovered with bold new look

Fri, 22 Feb 2013

Jeep has been shuttling around Alfa Romeo-based test mules and camouflaged prototypes of its replacement for the current Liberty for some time now. Those heavily disguised vehicles may have offered a glimpse of the new Jeep, but a new set of production-line images from Jalopnik tell a much more complete story.
Jalopnik report indicates unequivocally that the Cherokee name will be re-upped in place of Liberty, though it doesn't spell out exactly where that thinking comes from, though a name change has been rumored for some time. Chances are good that the same source that delivered these factory images delivered the name, as well.
The Cherokee absolutely has some Alfa Romeo DNA in its makeup, the final product is far from looking like its Guilietta ancestor. The athletic, high-waisted design is relatively attractive from what we can see here, though the grille and headlight treatment are sure to cause a lot of ruckus when the Cherokee makes its official debut at the New York Auto Show in April. The very narrow, pointed headlamps are pinched in a not particularly Jeep-ish fashion, and the curved, short version of the seven-slot grille is far more rakish than anything that Jeep has produced to date.

Jeep going bigger with new Grand Wagoneer, smaller with sub-Renegade?

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

The headlines are still rolling in for the new Renegade that Jeep unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show last week, but already reports are surfacing, citing sources within the company, about what Chrysler's iconic off-road brand will do next.
Speaking with Auto Express (whose reports we tend to take with a grain of salt or two), Jeep chief Mike Manley suggested that two courses of action are currently under consideration at Auburn Hills to develop two very different new models - one smaller and one larger than anything Jeep currently makes.
One plan would be to make an SUV or crossover even smaller than the new Renegade, although it isn't immediately clear what platform it would take. The Renegade (pictured above in Trailhawk spec) will be built in Italy alongside Fiat's upcoming 500X, but uses a heavily modified platform. We figure the smaller model, if approved, could base itself on the new Fiat Panda Cross.

WWII Jeep 'found in crate' set to cross Greenwich auction block

Thu, 30 May 2013

Fans of old military vehicles might want to pay extra close attention to the Greenwich Concours d'Elegance coming up this weekend. Crossing the Bonhams auction block on Sunday are a pair of seemingly flawless World War II Jeeps, which are both expected to fetch serious dollars.
Lot Number 305 at the auction is a 1945 Ford GPW Jeep that has been fully restored, which is expected to command between $35,000 and $45,000. Shortly after the Ford GPW, a potentially more interesting 1944 Willys MB (shown above) will be auctioned off, but Hemmings raises some red flags about this Jeep. First, it is claiming to have been "discovered in its original crate about 30 years ago," but there is no proof or documentation of any sort. Also, it is claiming to be all original, but it was given a paint job "shortly after it was discovered." Even with these questionable descriptions, this Willys could reach between $20,000 and $30,000. Head over to Bonhams' site and Hemmings for more information on both WW2-era Jeeps.
