Title in hand and ready to sell. I was planning on keeping the jeep till it died, but some unexpected loans appeared and its more important for me to pay them off. I am the third owner. Clean carfax! (Just bought a new carfax as of 8-15-13). The jeep has 171k miles on it and still runs great! It does have rust on it, but its not as bad as a lot of the other jeeps out there. This is the TJ model with the hand e-brake. The jeep is a 5 speed stick and very smooth and easy to ride. This jeep isn't as rough to drive as a lot of others are. Over all its in good/great condition for a 98' and drives really smooth and good! I really wish I didn't have to sell, but my lost is your gain.

Call or text if you have any questions 708 two eight nine- 27 eighty four. Sorry no trades and firm on price. No joy rides unless I know your serious buyer! NO LOW BALLS! Don't even waste your time!

Engine: 4-Cyl, 2.5 Liter
Drivetrain(s): Rear or Four-Wheel Drive

Cons:
-Needs a new exhaust gasket ( jeep is louder than most other similar models and years) ~ I bought it already just don't have the right tool to install it.
-Back plastic window has two holes in it and left side zipper doesn't work.
-Has small rust spot on each side (a lot better then most jeeps with same year)
- Radio doesn't work, was told I need to connect a cord in the console

Mods:
- 2" lift, 4WDkit came with aftermarket shocks and coils
- CD radio with usb and mp3 aux
- Has set up for fog lights, but none installed

First week I bought it I
- Replaced the rotors and and break padsand new steel brake line (Stops on a dime now)
- Put in new $100 battery
- Mayor tune up
- Cleaned Throttle Body
I spent $700 for above at a verified mechanic and $100 for the battery ( I have recites for all of it).

Other things to note
- Purchased new door windows both sides ~ $50 a piece
- 4x4 functional, never a problem with t-case, front or rear diffs
- Heater works great!

Watch this R/C Jeep Wrangler plow snow

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

There's no denying the fact that the Jeep Wrangler is one tough and rugged vehicle, and there is apparently little lost when the SUV is shrunk down for a 1:10th scale radio-controlled version. Proving that the Axial SCX10 Jeep Wrangler is not your run-of-the-mill R/C car, YouTube user Andrew Dykiel posted a pair of videos showing it clear about an inch of snow from his sidewalk and driveway during a snow storm last month.
Starting at $379.99, the Axial SCX10 costs more than most budget snowblowers, but other than paying a neighbor kid to shovel your snow, this might be the best way for a car guy to clear snow without the need for hot chocolate and ibuprofen. Better yet, it's electric, so it's zero-emission answer to snow removal! Scroll down to see how this R/C Jeep can help "shovel" snow from the warmth of your sofa. We've also thrown in a bonus video showing the mini Jeep negotiating the Rubicon Trail.

eBay Find of the Day: Jeep Comanche Zombie Response Unit

Sat, 02 Feb 2013

We've seen some pretty fantastic apocalypse vehicles in our day. We've even owned one or two, but this particular Jeep Comanche tugs at our heart strings in all the right ways. Let's start with the basics: there's a stout 4.0-liter engine underhood hooked to a five-speed manual transmission, and while we wish this truck was four-wheel drive, the two-inch lift and oversize tires should help you overcome obstacles with enough momentum.
Details like handy shovels, Jerry cans and a brush guard inspired by the hardware on a CUCV help lend the truck a no-nonsense appeal, and the functional CB whip antenna means you can ask for backup when the undead hordes come your way. If you like what you see as much as we do, you can head over to eBay Motors to place a bid. The auction has inched up to $4,000 with just two days left on the clock.

Federal investigations about safety of rear-mounted gas tanks is nothing new

Sun, 09 Jun 2013

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Chrysler are currently making waves in our daily news feeds due to a disagreement over the safety of a few million Jeep Liberty and Grand Cherokee models. Specifically, NHTSA has asked Chrysler to recall the SUVs because of the location of their fuel tanks, but you may be interested to know that requests such as this are nothing new.
Besides the two Jeep models, NHTSA has launched investigations over the years in such models as the Ford Crown Victoria (and its police-car counterpart), GM pickups built between 1972 and 1987, and rather famously the Ford Pinto.
Understanding how automakers and NHTSA have dealt with fuel-tank-safety concerns in the past may offer a better understanding of how Chrysler and the government agency will settle their current dispute. Check out the complete article from The Detroit News here.
