1987 Jeep Wrangler 5 speed with 4 cylinder engine. The odometer reads 212,685 miles but it was rebuilt and had 50,000 on it. It's got ~60,000 now, maybe a little more. The latch inside the door for the driver side exterior handle always extends to far and unhooks making it so you can't open the door from the outside. If you reach through the window it opens. It can be fixed if you can figure out how to stop it from popping out. The driver's seat belt clasp doesn't lock in the seat belt so that needs to be replaced. There is a hole on the driver side behind the seat. It's starting to rust through on the passenger side in front of the seat, there is a picture of that too. It has the Jeep logo seats. Passenger and rear seats are both perfect. Driver's has tears in it. Baja light rack. Hardtop. Full Doors with a some rust on the drivers side window frame. Newer starter and alternator. Got a replacement floor pan for passenger side, drivers side has been put in already. Needs new exhaust. It may need a new battery too, it's not wanting to hold a charge. It starts when you jump it. It really only has problems with the body getting rusty. The engine runs strong and smooth. Clutch is great and it shifts normal. Brakes also work fine. No major play in the steering wheel. Doesn't pull hard left or right.

Australian Jeep marketing stunt goes awry [w/video]

Jeep fans in Australia are none too happy with the off-road brand following a contest that saw ten new Cherokees sold for just $10,000 Australian (about $9,400), roughly a quarter of the vehicle's price Down Under.
The contest, called the "World's Most Remote Dealership," gave Aussies the chance to snag an ultra-affordable Cherokee Longitude (analogous to the US-spec Latitude trim), provided they could get to a secret dealership in the remote wilderness of western New South Wales, near the border with the state of South Australia.
In order to get the exact location of the dealership, though, potential customers needed to download an app, which would release a phone number 9:00 AM AEST on Thursday (7:00 PM EDT, Wednesday night). The first ten people who could call in and prove they could afford to finance $10,000 and get to the remote dealership, were given the location of the remote dealership.

Let's make this very plain - the city of Toledo, OH loves its Jeeps. It loves them so fervently that the very rumor of the Jeep Wrangler moving out of its traditional home prompted the city's mayor, D. Michael Collins, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich to hold a weekend conference call with Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne.
"The purpose of this call was for the mayor and governor to gain clarity on Mr. Marchionne's comments last week regarding the possibility of the next generation of Jeep Wrangler being built at a location other than the Toledo North Assembly Plant," a spokesman for the mayor's office told The Toledo Blade.
While no further commitments were made by any party, Collins and Kasich's statement was quite unequivocal about keeping Toledo's unwillingness to let the Wrangler go, saying "the city and its partners will again rise to the occasion to ensure that the new Wrangler is made in Toledo." According to the newspaper, the next step is for face-to-face meetings between officials from Ohio and FCA.
