  • Great Vehicle to restore since it is complete and unmolested. Or use it for pushing snow like I do. It turns tightly and with those brand new Coopers you will never get stuck.
  • Around 130,000 miles.
  • 360 V-8 has been gone through. New carb, new cam, new fuel pump, new tune up. Runs Great!!
  • Rebuilt transmission less than 100 miles ago.
  • New Cooper M&S tires with less than 100 miles on them, 100% tread.
  • New American Racing Wheels, no scuffs or rust on them. I have the original factory mag wheels in fair condition if you want them.
  • Hydro-Turn Plow works perfectly. The Jeep frame was professionally "boxed" to handle the stress of plowing.
  • New heavy duty front leaf springs
  • All the accessories work. (windows, seats, door locks, radio, gauges)
  • 4 Wheel drive works perfectly but it will need a new solenoid to disengage it if you want to use 2 wheel drive.
  • Interior is nearly perfect. In fact the headliner and carpet are new. The seats look good, no tears or rips in them. All the trim is in place and looks good
Now a couple "not so good items"
1) Normal amounts of rust in normal places. The rocker panels have been non professionally replaced. They look OK from 10 feet
2) The air conditioning has been removed from under the hood but the under dash components are still in place.
3) The paint has been touched up in several places, again looks OK from 10 feet.

I really prefer you come look at it before you buy it. I am in Northern Wisconsin. If you buy it but don't like it for any reason when you come to get it you can back out of the deal with no penalty or problems. Yes, you could probably drive it home but it is in 4 wheel drive and that 360 sucks gas like it is free, plus the plow restricts air flow to the radiator. Probably best to trailer or tow it home. I have it for sale in my front yard and listed on other media so I may end the auction early if it sells

Fiesta-sized Jeep coming in 2014

Wed, 03 Jul 2013

We've heard rumors before about a new, baby Jeep to slot below the new-for-2014 Cherokee (pictured) in the automaker's lineup. Now, Edmunds is reporting that the new crossover will arrive sometime in 2014, and will be about the same size as the Ford Fiesta. This currently unnamed vehicle will effectively replace both the Compass and Patriot in the Jeep lineup.
Speaking to Edmunds, Jeep CEO Mike Manley said that the new, small Jeep will be assembled in Italy and marketed globally beginning sometime next year. Manley did not provide many details on the new model, but did say that it will be 4.2-meters (165 inches) long. The Cherokee, by comparison, is 4.6-meters long (181 inches). Furthermore, Edmunds reports that while the new small Jeep will offer diesel power in other markets, there are no plans for an oil-burning version here in the US.
Many other automakers are exploring this smaller crossover segment here in the US. General Motors recently launched the Buick Encore, which is loosely based on the Chevrolet Sonic subcompact's platform. Ford has already launched its Fiesta-based EcoSport in other markets, and has reportedly been pondering the idea of offering it in the US, as well.

2014 Jeep Cherokee marketing launches with 'Built Free' commercial

Mon, 28 Oct 2013

Now that the 2014 Cherokee is finally on its way to dealerships, Jeep is starting its marketing blitz for its new crossover, beginning with this 60-second TV spot, called Built Free, that premieres today. Set to a Bob Dylan recording, the ad spot discusses something we can all relate to - the feeling of being too busy and too cooped up with everyday tasks to really get out there and explore the world. But as Jeep says in the commercial, "You're still here. And you're still you. The horizons haven't gone anywhere."
Autoblog spoke to Kim Adams-House, head of marketing for the Jeep brand, who explained that this Built Free spot is "an anthemic piece" that "sparks the conversation" for the new Cherokee. As you'll notice, none of the new Jeep's features - its off-road systems, nine-speed automatic transmission, etc. - are mentioned in the ad, but Adams-House says that future marketing "will speak to more" of the CUV's highlights. Following this 60-second spot, 30-second commercials will launch that talk about some of the specific product features.
When asked if the Built Free campaign will include any throwbacks to the original Cherokee, Adams-House told Autoblog that while "we love that vehicle," the new spots are intended to carve out "a unique space for Cherokee in our product portfolio and marketplace." On that same note, don't expect any other Jeep vehicles to get the Built Free treatment. Adams-House said that while this ad "does resonate overall with the brand," it is solely intended to promote the new Cherokee.

Chrysler's Jefferson North plant builds 5-millionth SUV [w/video]

Thu, 15 Aug 2013

Chrysler's Jefferson North Assembly Plant opened in 1992 for production of the first Jeep Grand Cherokee, but in the subsequent years, the Detroit plant has gone on to produce some of the company's biggest SUVs including the Jeep Commander and Dodge Durango. Earlier this week, the plant produced its five-millionth SUV, which, fittingly, was a Grand Cherokee.
Celebrating the plant's five-millionth unit, the silver 2014 Grand Cherokee was promptly donated to the USO. In addition to this milestone SUV, Chrysler also had a near-perfect 1993-95 ZJ Grand Cherokee on hand for the photo op. Scroll down for the Chrysler press release as well as a video showing some of the speeches from the celebration.
